Maki was walking around the room, biting on her nails anxiously.
She just remembered that it was her and Kaito's fifth anniversary, and she didn't know what to get him. Five years of dating, and she still didn't know him all that well.
"What if I just get him a sweater? Or is that a Christmas thing? Dammit! Why is this so hard?!". . .
Kaito was on his way to his and Maki's apartment with a small bag in his hand.
The space lover arrived at his home and opened the door. As he did, however, a scent struck his nose. A rather glorious scent.Kaito opened the door further and saw the dining table decked with a delightful buffet.
"Welcome home, Kaito", said Maki, who was wearing an apron and carrying a tray of homemade bread.
"Maki roll, did you do all of this?" Maki nodded. Kaito was impressed. He kissed his girlfriend and took a seat. "This looks delicious! Let's dig in!"The couple ate the home cooked meal together. Kaito took his time, claiming he wanted to savor Maki's work.
After dinner, they sat in the living room together. "Here, Kaito. Happy anniversary", said Maki, handing her boyfriend a wrapped up cylinder shape. "Oh, thank you, Maki roll!" Kaito took the object and tore off the wrapping paper, seeing what appeared to be a wallpaper of space."Sorry if it's not good..." "What are you talking about? This amazing! Thank you Maki!" "You sure it's okay? I didn't put much effort into getting it."
Maki was pulled into a hug.
"Maki, I don't care what you give me. Seeing you happy is the perfect gift I could ask for!"Maki blushed. "Now I've gotta give you my gift!" Kaito took the small bag he had and took out what was inside it.
It was a hair clip with a rose attached to it.Maki decided to try it on. She looked at Kaito for feedback. What she got instead, was a kiss to the lips. "You look beautiful."
Maki smiled and blushed, then rested her head against Kaito's."Happy anniversary, Maki roll."
