Natsu walked around the market, looking at toys.
"Natsu, aren't you a little too old for toys?", asked Happy. "They're not for me." Happy then smirked mischievously.
"Oh, are they for Lucy?" Natsu, oblivious that Happy was teasing him, nodded. "Yep!"
The salmon haired man continued looking around, before finally spotting something.
"Gotcha!"
Lucy sat in her apartment, writing in her book about her adventures. Her thoughts were then interrupted by a knock at the door. And then another. Then another. And so on.
She closed her book and walked over to the constant knocking. Upon opening the door, the celestial mage was greeted by a certain fire mage.
"Hiya, Luce!"
The annoyance Lucy felt about the knocking vanished upon seeing her boyfriend's smile. "Hey Natsu." Natsu walked in. After closing the door, Lucy turned around and saw Natsu stretching his arms out, holding a box.
"What's that?" "Open it and find out." Lucy made a playful smile and took the box.
As she opened it, a surprised expression appeared on her face.
She took out a blue rabbit plush from the box. "Natsu, what's this?" "It's your buddy!" "My what?" "Your buddy! I thought that since I have Happy, you could probably have your own little blue friend too!"
Lucy smiled. "Thanks Natsu. You really didn't have to." "But I wanted to! I always enjoy seeing you smile!" Lucy blushed. Natsu sat next to her and wrapped his arms around her. "So what are you gonna call him?"
Lucy looked at the toy in her hands. "I think I'm going to call her Smiley." Natsu chuckled at how Lucy changed the gender of the toy. "Okay. Smiley it is."
