EICHEN HOUSE was a lonely place. There could be hundreds of other patients in there with you, and you'd still feel like you were all alone. That's how Aspen felt. Though, she'd rather endure the never-ending loneliness than run the risk of hurting someone she loves again.

As miserable as her dull, suffocating cell-like room made her feel, it was a thousand times better than the feeling of being forced to watch, unable to do a thing, as she inflicted pain on her friends and family with her bare hands. Being locked away, at least it kept them safe.

But it turns out she wasn't the only one to have that idea.

As the lonely brunette laid wide awake in the confinements of her cell, she was unaware of a certain boy who was on his way to do the exact same thing she did—lock himself away for everyone else's safety. Stiles' father had driven him here on Stiles' own request, a couple hours later than Aspen had admitted herself in.

By now it was nearly three a.m., as Stiles rested his elbow up against the car door, peering out of the window as they neared the asylum. As far as he knew, the girl he loved was sleeping safe and sound in her room at the McCall residence—not lying painfully awake in a cell, wishing her own life away at this point.

Eventually, Stiles' father parked the car outside the asylum, slowly and defeatedly opening the car door and piling out of it. Stiles' eyes loomed on the building—in an identical way to how Aspen had, mere hours before hand. And just like her, the idea of being locked up here didn't exactly excite him, but he knew it had to be done.

However, just as Stiles hopped out of the car, he heard a familiar sound of a motorcycle engine, and then turned to the source of the noise, finding a very concerned Scott McCall rushing over to him. He would ask how he found about this, and neither Stiles nor his father informed anyone about it, but he knew Scott could probably sense it. He had the power to do that sometimes—sense when something was wrong, get a gut feeling about it too.

Too bad he didn't have it for Aspen three hours ago.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Scott asked in a concerned voice, his eyes darting between the sheriff and his best friend.

"Because we wanted to avoid something like this..." Stiles' father answered in a dreaded murmur.

"It's only seventy-two hours, Scott." Stiles tried to tell his brother-like figure.

"This is the same place where Barrow came from—" Scott told him like he didn't already know, "the guy who had a tumour inside him filled with flies." He then darted his eyes at Noah, telling him, "You don't know everything yet."

"I know enough," Sheriff Stilinski sighed heartbrokenly, "Nogitsunes, Kitsunes, Oni, or whatever they're called..."

"Wow, that was surprisingly all correct," Stiles shrugged his shoulders with his comment.
