A couple of hours has gone by and Chase still hasn't returned back to Adventure Bay and now Ryder and the pups were getting worried. C'mon, where is he? Ryder thought and tried calling Chase's pup-tag, but got no reply.

"Rydew, do you think we should go after him now?" Zuma asked with a worried tone and Ryder looked at Zuma and back at his pup-pad.

"L-Let's give him a little more time. He'll be back." Rocky said, trying to keep his voice tone bright and cheerful and the others sadly agreed and continued working on their jobs. Just then, Mayor Goodway walked up to Ryder.

"I can't help but think that something happened to him." Ryder kept his voice down so he wouldn't make the other pups worry.

"Like you said, Chase is a strong pup, I'm sure he'll be okay." Mayor Goodway as she placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. Ryder sadly smiled at her as he knew she was right. After hearing what Chase did while he was away, Ryder could help but respond.

"Yeah...he is a strong pup." Ryder agreed.

With Chase

CRASH

A giant box of trash was broken off. Chase did his best to push with all of his strength and succeeded. Luckily the large cabinet was moving towards Chase as it closed in and Chase had enough time to jump in and survive.

Chase hopped down from the height of where he was and breathed heavily as he also had little amounts of air inside.

"Oh man, well who knew tight spots would come in handy? But I'm alive." Chase sighed in relief and quickly, he smelled a stench and gagged.

"Ugh and I smell."

Chase stood up and looked around the warehouse he was in, no Carson, no Butch and no Ruben.

"Great...and I let them get away." Chase said between his breaths and looked around to see if there was anything he could use as evidence or something that could lead him to where Carson and the other two goons could be.

"Wait! The drone!" Chase remembered and looked up to where he last saw his drone and smiled as he saw that it was still flying and a red light kept flickering, meaning that it recorded the whole thing. Chase grinned as he ran outside and saw his cruiser still standing to where he last parked it and took to his controls and brought his drone back. Chase quickly saved the recording and placed his drone back inside the cruiser.

"Now it's time to head back and show Ryder." Chase said as he gagged once again.

"Augh. But first I need a bath." Chase said in disgust and quickly drove back to Adventure Bay.

With Ryder

Ryder and the pups were still investigating the wreck, but when they heard a car driving and looked to see a familiar blue vehicle, they got excited.

"Chase!"

They all yelled and Chase stopped in front of them. They all ran towards him but then, a strong stench filled their noses and they gagged and they looked at Chase.

"Yeah. Let me take a bath first. I've got some news." Chase nervously laughed.

The Lookout

Everybody returned home and transformed their vehicles back into their pup-houses and Chase began making his way inside the Lookout along with the other pups, as they covered their noses.

"Uh, Chase...?" Ryder began as he held his nose as well.

"I know, I know." Chase sighed and quickly made his way to the bathroom. Chase went inside and closed the door, also locking it so nobody would even come in. Luckily, the bathroom also had a washer so he took off his outfit and threw them in as well as some soap and turned the washer on and quickly went inside the bath and ran the water.

With The Pups

Meanwhile, Ryder and the pups were watching the footage Chase told them about from his drone. This whole time, the pups had different mixes of reactions. Suspense, worry, scared, amazed, confused, horrified, but then relieved.

They couldn't believe it but were also relieved that Chase survived the compactor. But they were also surprised to see how quickly Chase reacted in this situation because he's never experienced something like this before and he was able to get through.

"I can't believe it. He actually made it through that." Rocky said in disbelief.

"You and me both dude." Zuma said.

"Butch and Ruben were there was also a surprise. But who's that Carson guy?" Marshall wondered.

"Well whoever he is, he's still out there and we have to find him." Ryder said, even though he was just as surprised, he knew they couldn't let someone as dangerous as Carson roaming the area and the pups agreed. Ryder replayed some of the footage, and lightly smiled. Good job, Chase. You're more skilled than I thought.

With Chase

It was a bit difficult, but Chase used a bunch of shampoo and conditioner to clean his fur. He was in there for about half an hour and luckily, the smell came off and Chase sighed. He turned off the water and walked out and dried his fur. The washing machine was finished washing Chase's outfit, but when Chase noticed it, the stench was still there.

"Ugh, yep,It still needs washing." Chase sighed and closed the lid and turned the machine back on.

Chase then faced the mirror, and his expression changed. No water in the world can wash off the scars on Chase's body. He lifted his paw and felt the scars he had on his chest and body. The texture of the scars made Chase a little bit uncomfortable. Memories of how he got them washed over his mind, but he then heard another knock at the door.

"Chase?"

Chase heard Ryder's voice through the door and Chase responded.

"Yes, Ryder sir?" Chase asked.

"Are you almost done? We're reviewing the footage from your drone." Ryder said.

"Oh! Yeah, yeah, I-I'll be out in a sec." Chase said and heard Ryder walk away. Chase looked back in the mirror and walked over to his hoodie and placed it back on and wore his collar and walked out of the door.
