Up top at the Adventure Pyramid Tower, a large open room, surrounded by beautiful windows, along with a large, fancy chandelier. Fancy, relaxing jazz music playing by a live band, along with people eating at tables and talking with each other. Enjoying the Thanksgiving holidays with their loved ones and the ones that they've worked with for years in the same business.
As the music kept playing on one stage, the lights went out and a certain light shined upon another stage, revealing Lincoln Kull, standing in front of a microphone, willing to let the music keep playing for the guests to enjoy.
"If I may have your attention?" He politely asked in his usual frown face. Everybody clapped as they realized who this man was and clapped for him, since he was the reason they were all here in the first place.
"As you may know, I am your host, Krull Morgan Lincoln. I'd like to take this moment to thank you all for coming in support of our business that we held together for years," Lincoln said and everyone clapped and then he spoke up again, "So please, enjoy this holiday and thank you, once again." Lincoln said and everyone began clapping once again.
Just then, the clapping died down as everyone began hearing a whistle slowly getting louder and louder. Just then, right above them, something smashed right through the windows, or someone did.
Just then, they saw someone floating up in the air on a red hoverboard, with highly advanced technology.
But it wasn't a person flying, it was an adult dog.
The breed was hard to tell, because the dog wore a whole red hoodie, with its hood over his or her head. You couldn't even see the color of the eyes because of the mask he wore. A black colored mask with red, glowing eyes, slanted to look angry, along with a smile that glowed red as well.
The dog gave out a maniac laugh, but his laugh was deep, confirming that it was an adult male dog.
"Good evening to all of my people! What a wonderful Thanksgiving party you have! Allow me to introduce myself as the Blood King! Now, would one of you be kind enough to point me out to the Overlord?" He asked in a hyper-genic voice, but the dark tone made it sound even more freaky and intimidating.
The Blood King looked up at one of the stages to see Lincoln, staring at him with his emotionless face.
"I apologize, sir, but I have no clue who you are-" He started in a calm, monotone voice, but was then interrupted by The Blood King.
"I didn't expect you to. That's what this mask is for," He laughed once again, but then slowly floated towards Lincoln and he could feel an evil, cheeky grin behind the mask.
"But I know all about you, crime lord. It's about time you retire, so you better get off your high-horse...before I reveal all of your secrets." He whispered.
"You're making an enormous mistake. Security-" Lincoln called out as he looked back and his eyes slightly widened as he saw the cops knocked out by the elevators and stairs.
"Hahaha! You can't hide behind your people any longer." The Blood King said with an evil chuckle.
"So, what are you hoping to achieve tonight?" He asked in his usual calm voice.
"So, my first couple hints didn't answer you, eh? It's about time my crime lord takes the throne." He answered and Lincoln's eyes slightly widened.
"So, you're just another pawn for another crime lord." He stated, and once again, The Blood King gave out his demonic laugh.
"Pawn? Boohoo, that's such a strong word. But, call me as you like, but we do have one thing in common, you and I." He began, and just when Lincoln was about to talk again, another voice came through the atmosphere.
"Wow, can I come in this way, or should I break another window and my own entrance, because I'm not sure if that'd be disrespectful or not."
Everyone turned to see a German Shepherd pup, hanging off by the broken glass with a smirk.
"Chase." Lincoln growled and Chase jumped right through the window as he landed on the second floor platform of the room.
"So, you're hiring another one of your bozos?" Chase asked with a frown.
"I inform you that I have no interaction or clue of who he is. He's not one of my employees." Lincoln answered and Chase seemed a little thrown off by that answer and stared at The Blood King as he also starred right back at Chase.
For some reason, Lincoln looked up at The Blood King and felt a sense of some sort of weird emotion radiating behind his mask. Confusion? Anger? Happy? A mix of those didn't make sense to him at all.
"Well even if he didn't, I can always pretend he's yours after I take him down. Like I did with Claw and his dragon." Chase slightly growled and Lincoln mentally sighed, now knowing that even a pup and a dragon teaming up together couldn't defeat the police pup.
"May I remind you I'm still in the room? How rude." The Blood King suddenly giggled.
"Oh, I apologize. That's right, where are my manners? It's kind of confusing how you came to terrorize this crime lord while you may be holding these other people hostage." Chase said with his own smirk.
"It may be for you, but The Blood King has a proposal, Chase." He hissed out the German Shepherds name.
"You know me?" He asked and of course, The Blood King chuckled at the question as he raised his arms up.
"But of course, who wouldn't. The one who stopped the super villains that were hired by this guy," The Blood King started as he pointed at Lincoln, and then suddenly looked back at Chase. "I've had my fair share of blood, and I can imagine what would happen if the two of us would combine strengths. Work with me and together, we can take over this city!" The Blood King manically laughed as he now awaited Chase's answer.
"Are we talkin' about the whole thing? Actually, never mind. Lincoln offered me a job position and I passed, I don't work with people who are...well...psychotic." Chase said with a shrug.
"Meh, whatever, your loss I guess." The Blood King shot back as he then dashed towards Chase, attempting to hit him off with his board, but Chase quickly reacted as he dove below, taking refuge by the people, who are now screaming in panic as they began crowding in the elevator or running down the stairs, trying to stay far away from the danger.
Chase watched as the people ran, but then saw Lincoln, calmly standing on the stage he was left at.
"I'm surprised you're stickin' around." Chase scoffed.
"My party? My responsibility." He answered in a calm tone and both were interrupted by The Blood King's maniac laugh.
"Oh boy! Looks like we got ourselves a real party!" He laughed and stared down at the two of them.
It was now Chase, Lincoln and The Blood King.
