Conversation About Kamato

     Chase followed Edan to Kushina, who was with Marshall, they were looking at the vehicles that were parked inside.

"Hey, Kushina?" Edan called out and Kushina and Marshall turned and smiled to the sight of their husband/father. Marshall also smiled at the sight of his brother walking up behind his Dad.

"Hey bro." Marshall said with a grin and both Edan and Kushina looked at Marshall and then at each other in surprise and confusion. Bro? Both of them thought at the same time while Chase cringed at hearing Marshall call him, "bro."

"Hey man." Chase sighed.

"Anyways, is there something you need honey?" Kushina asked as she looked up from her son to look at her husband.

"Yeah, is it okay if me and you talk with Chase?" Edan asked, making Kushina and Marshall look at him in confusion.

"Talk to him about what?" Kushina asked and Edan pointed at Chase's necklace with his paw.

"I think that'll explain it." Edan responded and Kushina's eyes slowly widened as she recognized the necklace that Chase was wearing.

"O-Oh...sure." Kushina agreed.

"Hey, is it okay If I tag along?" Marshall asked and as much as Chase didn't want him to come in and listen, he wasn't Marshall's parent, so he couldn't say anything.

"Actually sure. It might be better if everyone else, especially Ryder, knows about this." Edan agreed and he turned around and met Chase's deadpanning eyes at him, which made Edan mentally chuckle.

Kushina, Edan, Chase and Marshall then got back to seats of the Paw Patroller where Ryder and Robo-Dog were still driving the Paw Patroller through the night.

"Hey, Ryder?" Edan called out while he and the three other dogs hopped onto the seats close to Ryder.

"Yeah, Edan?" Ryder responded, slightly turning his head towards him.

"Would you mind listening in as I explain Chase and Marshall about Kamato?" Edan asked and this quickly grabbed the attention of all of the pups and the other parents and began walking back to the seating area.

"Who?" Ryder asked as he turned his seat around and looked at Edan in confusion.

"The one who used to own this." Edan said and pointed at Chase's necklace that he wore. Ryder, along with all of the other pups, were surprised to learn that someone else used to wear the necklace before Chase. The other parents on the other hand seemed surprised, but also confused.

"Wait, Kamato? I've heard about him and the legendary story of him and his wife." Eve commented. All of the other parents also heard legendary stories about a dog named Kamato, but never spoke to him or spoke to anyone who knew him.

"So, what do you know about him?" Chase asked. Edan turned towards Chase and opened his mouth.

"You may not know, but me and Kushina knew a couple named Kamato and Kallie." Edan began and all of the pups listened to it.

"They were our oldest friends. Loyal German Shepherds and such good friends." Kushina mentioned making everyone, including Chase smile.

Flash Back

A younger-adult couple of Kushina and Edan faced a younger-adult of Kamato.

"How long will you be away?" Kushina asked, surprised by the information of the mission he was told that Kamato will be taking.

"Well, I have no clue, maybe for a week or so." Kamato answered and turned towards Edan.

"I'm leaving you in charge of the dog police department until I get back." Kamato said with a smiling grin, which earned a surprised look from Edan.

"Are you certain? Don't you want someone to look after that with true skill?" Edan said. He did take training in the dog police department, but his natural skill was being a firefighter. Kamato warmly smiled as he placed a paw on his best friend's shoulder.

"You're a dog with true skill...an example we should all follow. I can't think of a finer dog than you to take this lead." Kamato said.

Flash Back Ends

Edan smiled at that memory, he knew he made the right choice of picking Kamato as his best friend and looked back up at the pups.

"Kamato was also very successful in the police department." Edan mentioned and the pups kept on listening as did the parents.

"Really? How good was he?" Rubble asked, wanting to know more about the dog.

"Well, for starters, as most German Shepherds, he has a strong nose. But unlike any other regular Shepherd, he can smell things from miles away. Not only that, he was also a really fast German Shepherd too. People actually gave the dog a nickname too." Kushina added.

"Really? What was it?" Everest asked.

"The Azure Bolt." Edan answered and all of them marveled at the name.

"Wow, that's a cool nickname dude." Zuma complimented and Edan grinned at the water pup.

"But why did they name him The Azure Bolt?" Rocky asked and Kushina decided to answer.

"They called him that because Kamato's favorite color is cyan." Kushina laughed, earning chuckles from the others.

"He had strength, bravery, kindness, speed and courage. One of a kind. And believe me when I say this, the dog was actually feared too." Edan said, earning shocked looks from the other dogs.

"Fear? Why fear him?" Chase asked.

"It wouldn't be his allies or regular people fearing him. It would be his enemies and all the other people who tried or have broken the rules. A dog that could strike fear to a whole group of bad guys. That alone shows how strong he is." Edan said, while admiring his best friend once again. Chase took a second to take in those words. Considering how Edan spoke about Kamato, Chase realizes how much he admires The Azure Bolt.

"Are there any cool missions that you guys went on?" Skye asked and everyone looked at Edan, wondering what his response would be.

"Missions, huh?" Edan repeated as he began digging through his thoughts, wondering what kind of missions they went on. Then, one specific mission came into his mind.

"Yeah, there have been. You guys wanna hear a story about one?" Edan asked and the pups nodded their heads in excitement, including Chase. Ryder and the pup's parents smiled, also wanting to know what mission they went on. Edan then laid back and looked up at the roof of the Paw Patroller, as if a television was playing his memory for him.

"Well...It took place in the famous city of New York..."
