Nothing has changed so far, Chase gritted his teeth as his eyes closed as he felt the pain increase over time. But one thing was still on his mind. The message that the Overlord gave him. The Ominous Ten? Chase thought, as he was wondering who the ten were, already taking a hint that the Overlord had sent ten others to go after him.

But one question. Should he go?

Time was running out, and the more pressure built up. Maybe I should tell Ryder The German Shepherd thought and made an attempt to call him through his pup-tag.

But then he stopped

For some reason, moved his paw away from his pup-tag and slowly rested his head back. Ryder has been through enough, I should let him rest The sick police pup thought. But that still didn't help him with his conflict.

Now, the German Shepherd couldn't rest because all he thought about was the consequences of his decision.

With Skye

Skye, Everest, Liberty, Sweetie, Sylvia and Ella decided to head to the nearby Mall that was built a few months ago in Adventure Bay. They went around, trying to look around for gifts, but they all had a difficult time as some didn't know what to get them for Christmas. Especially Skye and Everest who had the most trouble.

The two had no clue what to get Chase and Marshall for a Christmas gift. They knew they had some likes like there was Chase and his officer bear and there's Marshall with his teddy bear. But that's nowhere near as close to a great present for them.

Skye was inside the clothes shop where they sell human and animal clothes. Maybe I could get him a hoodie? Skye asked in her mind as she noticed that Chase had a hoodie all the time. Now that sparked a memory for her.

She's never seen the German Shepherd without a hoodie before. He's always wearing some sort of clothing as other dogs don't. Dogs usually love to run around with clothes free, but the sick pup was different. She now began thinking of why he liked wearing them so much.

She looked up at the hoodies once again that were hung on the wall. Maybe I should just get him a hoodie. Skye sighed and then, she felt a tap on her shoulder and quickly spun her head around to see Everest with a smile on her face.

"Can't find a present either, huh?" She asked and Skye rolled her eyes.

"Eh, I'll just get him one of these hoodies." Skye said as she turned to look at them and Everest frowned.

"Seriously? Just a hoodie? Are you even gonna try to get him a gift?" She asked and Skye looked at her with a confused and surprised look.

"What? I mean he likes them a lot." Skye tried to make excuses and Everest raised a brow at her.

"It's Chase, isn't it?" Everest asked and Skye slightly gasped at her, but she could see that Everest already knew the answer so she didn't bother to lie.

"Yeah." She sighed and Everest sighed after.

"Come on, he already has some hoodies. Get him something else." Everest said and Skye scoffed.

"I don't know what else he likes, other than hoodies and his bear, what am I supposed to get him?" Skye asked and Everest wondered and a bit of a worried look came across her face. She realized that, as being his older sister, Everest never really knew much about the German Shepherd. Skye noticed the look on her best friend's face and a bit of a concerned look crept on the Cockapoos expression.

"I'm not really sure. I only knew he likes hoodies and officer bear. It's even more difficult to know ever since he's changed." Everest said, now earning a look from her best friend.

"Yeah, tell me about it." Skye softly scoffed, now earning a look from Everest.

"Did something happen between the two of you?" Everest asked and the pup in pink looked away, the frown still on her face, but it soon turned into a sad look.

Flash Back

"Okay then, let me ask you something?" Chase then suggested and Skye seemed a little surprised and speechless. But none-the-less, listened in.

"Do you wear a mask?"

Skye looked at Chase in visible confusion. What is he talking about? Skye asked in her mind. The question has completely thrown the Cockapoo off guard.

"What? What does that have to do with what we're talking about?" Skye asked, still hinting her impatience and irritation.

Silence. Chase just stared right into her magenta eyes. A look of disappointment made its way to his face.

"Until you figure that out, I won't talk to you about this anymore." Chase stated harshly and Skye's face turned into visible sadness and shock. The pink pup couldn't believe her ears. Silence fell between them, and it was clearly obvious that the German Shepherd didn't want to speak to her right now. She just sighed.

"Y'know what, it's useless speaking to you about this. Goodnight." She said bitterly and walked off to the other side to join her sleeping parents.

Flash Back Ends

"Wow," Everest sighed in a surprised whisper.

"Wear a mask? What does he mean by that?" The husky asked and Cockapoo shrugged.

"I have no clue, what do you think it means?" She then asked and Everest thought about it.

"I'm not so sure, but he kind of said something to me too." Everest replied and Skye now looked at her.

"He did?" The pink pup asked.

Flash Back

"If that's the case, then I wanna ask you something?" He said back and Everest seemed a little surprised by the rebound, along with Marshall, but he listened in along with Everest, waiting for the question.

Chase glanced to the left a little bit, as if he was looking at something, or someone. It's as if he knew someone was listening to them. He mentally smirked as he knew that someone else will think about what he's about to ask Everest.

"What would you do if your family lied to you?" He asked, completely confusing Everest and Marshall.

"W-What?" She stuttered a little bit, feeling as if that question was directed at her and Marshall, who had no idea that he was listening in.

"Let me know once you figure it out." He "warmly" smiled at her as he patted her shoulder with his paw and walked past her, towards the Lookout.

Flash Back Ends

"Huh? Why would he ask something like that?" Skye asked and Everest shrugged also.

"I have no clue. I wonder if he said anything to the others." Everest said and Skye wondered.

"Yeah, I agree. I think it's best if we talk this out with the others, if he hasn't said anything to them yet, maybe they'll figure out what these questions mean." Skye said and Everest nodded.

"And you're right, I'll get him something better than a hoodie." Skye smiled along with Everest.

"Alright, let's find the other girls and have fun." Everest grinned and Skye smiled and both of them ran out of the clothes store to find the other girls.
