Christmas day has passed and everyone inside Foggy Bottom was asleep. Aside from Chase who started to open his eyes. He looked at his surroundings and everything was a bit messy but mostly clean. He looked behind himself and saw himself, Humdinger, Helga, Arya, Maya and the kittens all cuddled up against each other. He lightly smiled as he now remembered everything last night.
After taking the photo, they ate some more food, watched more movies, played some Christmas games, talked and laughed. They couldn't remember how long they were up but they guessed it was pretty late.
Not wanting to wake the others up, Chase slowly pulled his blanket closer to himself and joined the cuddling with his sleeping family. The warmth he felt made him feel comfortable and once again, safe. Something that he hadn't felt at the Lookout or his old home at all. And he was quickly able to fall asleep.
The Lookout
Just like at Foggy Bottom, everyone was snuggling against each other from the party they had last night. Even Jamison fell asleep on a table. Meanwhile, Tundra was in her slumber as she and the other girls were cuddled against each other.
But then, she heard some whispers.
"Tundra? Tundra?"
Tundra slightly groaned as she softly got up, not trying to wake the others up. She yawned as she rubbed her eyes and when she opened them, she was surprised to see Rocky being the one that woke her up.
"Morning, Rocky. What time is it?" She asked quietly and the Mixed Breed looked over at the clock and back at Tundra.
"Around seven." He whispered.
"Oh? Is something wrong?" She asked with a hint of worry but Rocky only smiled it off.
"No, no. I was....hoping you'd like to go for a walk with me?" He asked nervously while lightly blushing. Tundra blushed a tiny bit before she quietly stood up, not wanting to wake the others and smiled back at Rocky, not noticing that someone else has awoken as well.
"Sure, let's go."
Outside, both Tundra and Rocky walked along the usual bridge with awkward silence in the atmosphere. Tundra, being curious as to why Rocky asked her to come with him, finally broke the silence.
"So, did you just wanna hang out?" Tundra asked with a slight chuckle, not really sure on what to ask.
"Y-Yeah, I just...wanted to hang out...and..." Rocky stumbled a little bit, before he finally began replaying the memories in his mind.
Flash Back
"T-T-Tundra...I...I...uh..." Rocky stuttered until he met eyes with Tundra and noticed that she looked down from above, while her cheeks were slightly red also. And without a second thought, Rocky watched as Tundra leaned in closer and pecked a kiss on his cheek which made him gasp.
Flash Back Ends
After that memory, he began getting more memories of when they first met and the other moments he had with her.
"No, I didn't want to just hang out." Rocky sighed while shrugging one of his shoulders a little bit which surprised Tundra a little bit, not expecting that response.
"Oh? Is...Is something wrong?" She asked again, a little worried about the Mixed Breeds actions.
"Y-Yeah, everything is okay," Rocky chuckled before he felt dumb once again and groaned, "No, no it's not. Tundra there's something I have to tell you." He admitted.
Once again, the Husky seemed confused and she kind of figured on what the Mixed Breed was going to say. So she gave him a warm, light smile, hoping it would comfort him. Fortunately, it did and Rocky calmed himself down and spoke.
"Tundra...ever...ever since I met you, I've been having these weird...feelings, like everything is okay when I'm near you...and...and..." Rocky stuttered again.
"Yeah?" Tundra responded a little bit, her paws began shaking as she got impatient but also excited.
"And...well...what I'm trying to say is...I...I..." Rocky stuttered as he began blushing really hard again, as he found it troubling to admit his feelings. "I...I..." Rocky stuttered once more before looking at Tundra's wonderous expression. He looked into her hazel, light blue eyes and without finishing his sentence
Rocky leaned in and kissed Tundra on the lips.
Tundra mentally gasped by the sudden action and she blushed even more, maybe even redder than Rocky. But soon, she relaxed herself as she kissed back.
The moment was perfect, they were alone and nothing could stop them. Both of them share the same feelings and they were letting it all out right here and now. They fell in love with each other more than they already have. Their bodies got excited and bursted in energy as they kissed for a couple more seconds until they finally separated, now gasping for air.
Both of them were shocked by what happened and looked at each other once again.
"Uh...well...that...that uh...just happened." Tundra nervously chuckled along with Rocky. But then, that kiss made Rocky gather back his confidence.
"I...I love you." He finally said and Tundra caught her final breath and looked at Rocky once again, this time with wide eyes. Given her reaction and no response, Rocky quickly got a little scared and felt like an idiot.
"I...I'm sorry...If...If you don't feel the same way, then I..." Rocky was then interrupted by another kiss from Tundra which stopped him. He was shocked but he kissed back. This kiss lasted longer this time, but Tundra eventually separated it.
"I love you too." She grinned back and Rocky had no words, but smiled. Both pups were blushing once again. Nothing could describe how happy they felt. Rocky then spoke up once again, but not without stuttering.
"So uh...do you...I don't know, do you wanna...do you wanna be m-my...uh..."
"Yeah." Tundra answered as she already knew what Rocky was going to ask and nothing made the Mixed Breed much happier.
Suddenly, the two heard the sound of a boat passing by. They turned around and looked over at the view to see Captain Turbot's boat slowly pulling into the docs. They slightly smiled at the sight, but then they studied closer as they noticed something was a bit off.
They saw a familiar German Shepherd riding on the boat and their eyes quickly widened.
It was Chase on the boat, along with Mayor Humdinger.
