That same night, everyone was up pretty late, but they soon fell asleep...almost all of them. Marshall, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, Skye and Everest were all still awake in their pup-houses. They couldn't sleep at all as they kept thinking about the situation more and more.

They never heard Chase scream at them or yell at them before. He wasn't usually the type to get angry, he usually never got angry. But there was the little breakdown at Adventure City and the interaction between Jamison and Chase at the Lookout and now today. They've seen a whole new side of Chase they haven't seen before.

This new side of him was way different and they wondered how they turned their beautiful, caring and loving leader into who he is now. But the fact is, he was already destroyed before they even met. What they hated the most was how they assumed Chase always had an easy life, but while they were on vacation, Chase would always volunteer and always do the missions and they recently found out about that due to the talk between Ryder and Chase.

They wondered where Chase could be right now and they wanted nothing more but to find him...hug him, apologize to him, beg him to come back and be their leader again, let him be their strong, police pup again.

Rubble

Rubble was lying in his pup-house, looking up at the ceiling. Tears were dried on his face as he sniffed a couple times. Usually, his mind would be thinking or dreaming about food right now or playing his favorite games. But now, none of that made him happy, it didn't cheer him up at all.

Flash Back

"Well I'm just happy we're all on the same page." Rubble said with a slight smirk

"Yeah, and If I'm gonna be honest, it doesn't look good on him at all. On summer days, he wears it and it gets smelly! Seriously, why does he need to wear that all the time?" Rubble asked.

Flash Back Ends

What made him even agree with the rest of the pups? Why would he actually say or even believe that? But one of the most important parts was that he insulted the hoodie that he always wore. Of course, he didn't know anything about what the hoodie actually hid, but he still could've asked. But now, all he could think about was the German Shepherd.

Looking back on it now, Chase has always been there for him. He remembered when he was really young, he rode in Chase's police truck and he never had so much fun in his life. All of the memories that he had, it just made him feel worse. But there was one specific memory.

Flash Back

Rubble softly sobbed behind a tree, trying to get away from the rest of the pups. He tried his best to hide away his tears, but they kept on coming.

"Rubble?"

The young Bulldog heard a voice and sniffed a couple times before wiping his tears to see Chase, coming from behind the tree with his usual blue hoodie and a worried look on his expression.

"O-Oh, h-hey Chase." Rubble softly greeted between sniffs. Worried about the youngest member of the team, Chase sat down next to him.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He asked and Rubble looked off a few times and sighed.

"I heard a few other dogs at the Bay talking about me. They said things about how I eat way too much and I mostly bring the team down, that I don't really do anything...I'm just put to the sidelines." Rubble explained, looking away from Chase's face who was now frowning. Sadly, being as young as he was, Rubble let those words get into his head.

"Maybe they're right...I do eat a lot and I haven't really done anything that useful." Rubble brought himself down until Chase couldn't take it anymore.
