Spending time with Lando is one of your pre-race rituals. Just cuddling a bit, maybe eating a last snack and make each other giggle from time to time. You are laying on the sofa in his motorhome, head on his tight while you text on your phone.
"Who are you texting?" Lando asks you with a neutral voice, unsure how he should interpret your constant giggles. Normally he loves to hear you laugh but it makes him suspicious that you do it constantly while you get message after message from someone who obviously isn't him.
"Max." You glance up to Lando for a second before your eyes are back on the screen, seeing another meme Max has send you, to help you relax before the race. He knows that you are always nervous and made it to his task to calm you down.
"Again?" Lando furrows his eyebrows together. He is not the biggest fan of you constantly texting with Max or with any boy in general, at least not when you have this much fun during it. "Yes." You confirm his question, not thinking he is going to talk about this further and for a moment you are right. He does not say anything until some words burst out of him.
"Are you two fucking behind my back?" Your eyes get wide at his words, and you sit up to look at him properly. Did he really say this or are your ears playing tricks with you? But when you see the anger in his face you realise, he just accused you of cheating.
"What the...are you serious?" Shocked you ask him this question, still not a hundred percent convinced that he means these words or if he just said them because he is frustrated that you didn't show him much attention during the last minutes.
"You are all giddy when you text him, something I expect you to look like when I text you." Lando explains with a stern voice and your jaw drops. You never though he would be that jealous over someone who is this close to him.
"Why are you such a jealous person? He is your best friend, and I am your girlfriend." Max is basically like Lando's brother, and you thought he would trust you as his girlfriend of quite some time now. He was never overly jealous, always a little bit but he never accused you of cheating on him.
