Bonds through time part 9

Depa sat in her chair with a small smile crossing her lips. She appeared to be satisfied with the outcome of the situation. On the other hand Obi-Wan looked around the room, wondering what the other masters thought of the situation by the looks of their faces. Everyone looked a bit shocked but not too distressed. They just werent used to anyone, much less a Padawan talking to them like that in this very room. The only one that stood out to Kanan was Master Yoda who was slightly chuckling.

"Master Yoda ?" Obi-wan called out as Yoda answered"Younglings these days, quite feisty aren't they ?"

Suddenly this feeling crept up inside Obi-wan. Master Yoda was relaxed, no too relaxed at this scene. Not to mention it was him and Depa who suggested Kanan to take up Ezra as his Padawan. 

AFTER THE MEETING....

Everyone soon left but just as Obi-wan was going to step out the room Yoda's raspy voice was heard "Some suspicions you have Obi-wan"

The younger Jedi turned to face the green alien, he was right as usual. "You were so sure about setting up that Master and Padawan duo. Why Master Yoda ?"

The wise older Jedi chuckled at the other man's words "Forseen it, I have. Wanted those two togather, the Force did." Deep down Obi-wan expected this answer. There was no way a Padawan would be allowed to stay or train under a newly appointed Knight, much less a Knight as unsure as Kanan Jarrus. Usually Jedi like this would first get first hand experience, even guidance from the other Masters. But Kanan's case was very sudden and seemed like an impulsive descision. But now it made sense, why Master Yoda despite everything let Ezra train and grow under Kanan. 

"In your thoughts, quite you are" Yoda suddenly said, interrupting the younger Jedi's thinking.

"Yes Master. Now it does make sense to me indeed. I just hope..that them training and growing togather is the only thing you saw." Obi-Wan answered but in that moment Master Yoda's face suddenly turned dark as he sighed and stated:

"Over that Padawan, a dark cloud looms"

WITH KANAN AND EZRA...

Ezra was stomping angrily through the halls of the temple while Kanan held his arm, supporting him and preventing a fall. But it looked more like the Master was being dragged around.

"Ezra do you know where you are going ??" Kanan asked a bit frantic and worried. "Back to the infirmary wing of course. I sneaked out" Ezra said as he continued walking "You what ??" The older man answered holding onto his Padawan "Ezra you are not nearly healed enough-" 

Suddenly the Padawan stumbled, interrupting Kanan and almost falling to the ground. But thanks to the other Jedi's reflexes he was able to catch him quickly. "Just like I said" Kanan stated with a worried expression. But thn suddenly silence fell over the duo. Why did the youngling suddenly go silent ?

"....Arent you going to say anything about how I acted towards the Jedi council ?" Said Ezra suddenly. The older Jedi was taken aback by his question, then he warmly smiled at the boy "Not now. First we need to get you to the infirmary"

"ELLIOTT BRIDGER !!" A woman in a white coat ran down the hall towards them "How dare you sneak out in YOUR STATE ?? I cannot believe you, first you come to the infirmary with a grave wound and you proceed to get up, walk all the way to the Jedi council and NOT INFORM ME ?" 

The once calm woman now looked more like a raging bull. Kanan swore he saw her forehead turning red but Ezra on the other hand seemed to be pouting, crossing his arms and mumbling something along the lines of "I'm fine". Suddenly the oldr Jedi extended his arm between thme calmly saying "I think Ezra saw fit to leave at that time, he can hear the lecture later, let's get him back in the infirmary first"

The young boy looked at his Master, his eyes seemed to glow as his lips relaxed into a small smile, Kanan defended him. The doctor sighed deeply as she immedietely went to Ezra's side but Kanan stopped her yet again. He knelt in front of his Padawan and with a cheerful expression said "Get on". He was referring to his back. Ezra seemed to be shocked at this as he mumbled "N-No need, I'm heavy I wouldnt want to burden you-" but Kanan insisted even joking "Hurry before the doc takes you instead" At that Ezra looked at the doctor's angry face and then back at Kanan. He made his descision at that moment as he climbed onto his Master's back. He felt embaressed but endured it. Kanan chuckeled as he started carrying the younger boy piggyback style.

The thre continued to walk through the halls towards the infirmary with Kanan and the doctor discussing something. But Ezra's eyes felt heavy, he saw many Padawans and Masters pass by him almost as if counting how many he saw. The halls suddenly became blurry but then an image appeared in front of his eyes. Two figures walking down the hall were seen but they were not real, they only felt like a memory. There was a taller male figure, confidently walking and a blue haired youngling by his side. Ezra suddenly felt disgusted by the sight but his tiredness seemed to overtake him.

He drifted into sleep, but it wouldn't be a peaceful one...
