6 MONTHS LATER.....
Ezra had been recovering really fast and returned to the ghost under 2 weeks upon the crew's reunion. While he was still in the base's med-bay, Sabine came by and tought him some basic sign language. Ezra was learning fast and continued learning with the mandalorian on the Ghost after the boy's release. The relationship with the crew was quite awkward at first, everyone was very protective and concerned for Ezra and the Padawan felt bad about making them worried. But with time the bluennette was getting much better, his sign language skills were improving drastically. The rest of the crew was also getting lessons from Sabine so that they are able to understand Ezra. Hera helped the young Mandalorian girl teach since she herself knew the basics of sign language. Ezra was brought back to the Ghost with crutches and he needed some help getting around. Thankfully Kanan was always by his side and helped him as much as he could. There were some communication issues at first and Ezra had to write down most things he was saying. But after 5 months of lessons with Sabine Ezra knew sign language on an intermediate level. The mandalorian girl was quite suprised since learning the language takes around 2-3 years to get to the intermediate level but Ezra was a very quick learner plus force sensetive and it helped improve his memory. The rest of the crew was doing okay with learning, Kanan was obviously the fastest to learn the basics but all in all everyone was learning fast and they were able to understand most things Ezra was saying. Another month flew by and everyone had accepted that this was their slightly changed life now but no one was upset about it. All of them were thankful that Ezra was alive...But no one had realised that the young Padawan had some internal struggles he was hiding religiously...
AT THE GHOST THE COMMON ROOM, AFTERNOON...
"Ezra, would you come for lunch ?"Hera spoke to her com-link in a gentle voice. The crew always ate togather after all.
After a few minutes the doors shifted open revealing a short blue haired figure. But instead of seeing the cheerful Ezra, the boy looked really down and had a very dark, concerned look. Something had been troubling him for a while...something might have troubled him from the beginning but his "cheerful" act was slipping up.
"Whats for lunch ?" Ezra signed towards Kanan as he sat down next to him. The Jedi Knight looked at his Padawan with great concern, he had been really depressed lately.
"I'm guessing one of Hera's "Recipies"Sabine answered with a slight eye roll and smile. Ezra seemed to give a slight nod at the girl's response. But then he looked down again, avoiding everyone's gaze. Kanan quickly noticed the mood shift in his Padawan so he asked in a gentle voice "Ezra...is everything okay ? Did something happen ?"
The bluenette's eyes seemed to spark with worry as they turned to Kanan. The boy simply signed "I'm okay just a little tired". And after that Ezra's gaze fell upon Hera's approaching footsteps with the food...
After lunch, most of the crew spent some free time in their cabins while Ezra and Sabine had another sign language lesson.
IN SABINE'S CABIN....
"Alright today we will do a little revision and practise alright ?"The girl asked cheerfully as she looked at the boy across from her on the bed. He nodded slightly raising his hands up.
"Lets do a basic introduction and explain a bit about ourselves, I'll start" Sabine suggested as Ezra signed a quick okay response.
"My name is Sabine Wren, I'm a mandalorian girl and I am currently involved in the rebellion againts the Empire. I love to paint and draw, especially on walls. I am a part of the Ghost crew and I am quite happy to be here"Sabine signed effortlessly giving a soft smile at the end as na inidication for Ezra to start.
