A boy named Ezra part 3

IN THE COMMON ROOM....

Hera was in the kitchen making some food for the small boy. After a few minutes of silance in the common room, the door was heard as it was opening and Hera stepped in with a platter of waffles.

The whole crew was sitting down and eating as Ezra quickly joined them. He still looked very shy and insecure about the situation so he was next to Kanan. After a few minutes the crew finnished eating. Kanan and the others were planning to make the best conversation with Ezra that they possibly could.

"So yeah..."Sabine started scratching her chin

"Yeah..." Ezra repeated her words as a reflex while Chopper on the other side of the room commented on the situation "Bleep(Awkward)"

"Very funny rustbucket"Zeb said sarcasticlly

"Umm w-well, Sabine can I ask y-you something...."Ezra turned his gaze to Sabine but quickly turned elsewhere. "Sure"Sabine asnwered with a smile

"Are you a....mandolorian?, Y-your armor kinda l-looks like it"Ezra asked still trying to avoid eye contact

"Yeah I am a mandolorian, how do you know what a mandolorian suit looks like?"Sabine asked a  bit suprised

"I..um...don't wanna talk about it...."As Ezra said that the crew went silent for a moment untill Zeb had enough of the awkwardness "Hmm How about this?, Ezra you ask one of us a question and then we ask you a question". The whole crew crossed their arms in an X whispering "no" and "what are you doing". Zeb looked at them confused but then realised his mistake quickly and was about to apologize to the kid.

"s-sure I-I guess.."Ezra said and the whole crew turned to him. A bit surprised he said yes. More silence creeped in the room untill Sabine's voice was heard "Ezra, how can you possibly know this much stuff at your age?"

"Well.... m-my parents thought me some stuff b-but the rest I um learned on the streets..."Ezra said and looked down, Kanan clearly noticed it

"It's okay, you don't have to talk about it"Kanan said with a calming voice

"I-I can handle it, it's not my first time talking about this p-plus i also want to get to know you guys better..."Ezra said

"With who did you talk about your past?"Zeb interrupted

"Zeb!"Hera yelled

"You can't ask someone that, maybe its personal"Kanan said

"Yeah i-it is kinda personal"Ezra agreed but soon got excited and turned to Kanan "Okay my turn,and the question goes to Kanan"

"If you dont mind me asking,but um you kinda winced when I mentioned Jedi Master Depa Billaba"Ezra asked, curious.

The crew was shocked and looked at Kanan, "Um.....". Ezra noticed Kanan looked away in Hera's direction, looking for a type of confirmaton.

"Y-you don't have to answer !" Ezra said quickly, trying to cheer up Kanan as Kanan sighed "Hera should we tell him?"

Hera stopped in her tracks for a moment, but looked up at Kanan and simply smiled and nodded "He is a part of the crew now and everyone on board this ship knows". Kanan took in a deep breath.

"Alright then....The reason I displayed a reaction when you mentioned Jedi Master Depa Billaba is....because..she was my Jedi master and I was her padawan....."Kanan said and looked back at Ezra, hoping for a positive reaction but Ezra just stared at him blankly like its not the first time someone told him that they were a Jedi.

"So you are a Jedi?"Ezra asked a small smile forming on his lips. Kanan sighed in relief "Yeah, I didn't really finnish my training but yes I'm kinda a Jedi"
