Sick Day | Adam x Reader | Fluff

"Babeeeeee, come back to bed.." Adam whined as you got up from your shared bed.

"I have to go to work, you know that.." You sternly said. 

Even though you had a spot soft for this boy that paranormal job that he had wasn't going to get you both anywhere, except for outside if you didn't pay those bills.

"But you never take a day off-"

"Ah, ah, ah. I did. Your birthday, my birthday, and Jonah's birthday!" (Add Christmas, or any other holiday, if you celebrate it.)

Adam huffed and crossed his arms. "Well, you still have 9 sick days left." You chuckled and patted his head.

Adam took this as an opportunity to grab your arm and pull you on top of him.

You sat there confused as you straddled him above the waist. You shifted slightly but you soon realized that your thighs were held in place by Adam's hands.

"I'm going to be late....." You muttered. Adam just smiled and nodded. You sighed and tried to get up again, only to be pulled back. "Adam!" You softly whisper-yelled. He just chuckled and still held you there.

At this point you just gave up. It was 7:28 and it takes you 10 minutes to get to your job. You weren't even ready yet either, it was a lost cause..

You playfully rolled your eyes and went to grab you phone from the dresser. "Fine, I'll stay home just for today. I wouldn't be able to get there on time anyways," You told the mischievous boy. If possible, Adam's smile would've grown 5x bigger.

You dialed your boss' phone number and explained how you wouldn't be able to come into work today because of a family emergency, which obviously didn't exist. Your boss was understanding and gave you the day off.

As you hung up the phone two arms locked around your back and pulled you forward. You got a face full of your boyfriend's hoodie, but you couldn't complain because it smelled like pine. "Thank you, babe.." Adam whispered, his voice muffled by your hair. You just nodded because you felt tired already, and wrapped your arms around his chest and back, enjoying the warmth that greeted you.

"Sleep well, love," Adam said. He wasn't aware that you were already sleeping and most likely having dream scenarios in your head about him. He loved your embrace and lived for it. He truly did love you.
