My friend Jonah has been blessed with a certain thing. His body will warn him or make him feel a certain way if something is going to happen in the future. Something bad that is. Luckily for him I am a fortune teller, so I can tell him if his feelings were right or wrong before it happens.Jonah came in today with his buddy Adam. He was going on about this horrible feeling he got from a phone call and the looks of a house they were sent to.
My friend Jonah didn't believe in alternates, neither did his friend Adam. Maybe that's why they didn't listen to me? Maybe that's why they're in this situation now? Yes. I told them, I warned them. They didn't listen. Now I can hear Jonah's heavy breathing as he's in the car by himself, Adam left far behind at the house that they were investigating. Such fools. I know he is my friend, and that it wouldn't be a normal reaction to their friend's possible death. However, if he is my friend he should have trust in me. Jonah should've listened to me.
I could hear soft sobs through the radio and the sound of the van moving fast on the road. I hummed. There was something unsettling that rested at the bottom of my stomach. Even though he was alone in the car, as he thought, I knew he wasn't. There was something there. I could hear. If you tried to listen closely you would be able hear a little bit of movement at a distance, followed by the common alternate static.
"Jonah," I said calmly. There was no response. If he was mad at me, there was no reason. I told him before....and here I am, warning him again. Jonah never heeds my warnings. I've warned him multiple times on different occasions. But this will be the last time, because I know he won't listen to me. "Get out of the car." Jonah released a shaky sigh before the sound of the car moving sped up. "I keep uneasy," Jonah spoke. His voice sounded so stressed. It was so different. I've never heard his voice like that before. The alternate gave him mad, and now the alternate knows that I'm on the radio. "Goodbye, Jonah," I huffed. "You should've listened to me though." There was an angered grunt before I heard quiet whispers proceeding to get louder. I quickly turn the radio off before I could clearly make out what was being said.
I have lost two friends today.
