10. Cover Up

Tzuyu's PoV

It's already 8:30 in the evening and I am already planning to sleep. I went to the cafeteria to buy some snacks that I could enjoy in my room. But something is bothering my plans.

The noise I've been hearing since maybe the clock struck in 7. When I was walking in the hallway to go back here in the room, I recognized where the noise coming from. Although it is five rooms away from my room, I could still hear it.

If it's just not because of my sensitive hearing. I decided to ignore it even if it's impossible. The fact that this room seems soundsproof. But it's nothing because of the ability of sensitive hearing of the monster inside me.

I sat on my bed, enjoying every chips that I am eating. When suddenly, the telephone here in this room rang. I have no clue who would call by this time.

But because of my curiosity, I picked up the telephone and answer the call.

["Y/N, I want you to go to my office asap."]

I immediately recognized the voice. And obviously, the call is not for me.

"I'm sorry Ms. Hong, Y/N is out for a project. This is her roommate, Tzuyu." I said.

["Oh, hello Tzuyu. Would you mind if you'll tell Y/N to call me up as soon as she gets back?"]

"No problem, Ms. Hong. I'll tell her as she comeback." I said.

I heard the other line was ended so I put down the telephone.

I went back to my bed and checked the time. I guess they are having a good time for them to be out by this time.

I don't really care about what project are they working on. But I'm sure I'll have to do it too.

After I finished my food, I throw it to my garbage and sat on my table to prepare my things for tomorrow.

Since tomorrow is my actual start of school, I better prepare my things... Myself.

After maybe half of minutes being busy with my stuff, the telephone ring again.

I didn't wonder who could it be. As I know it will be Ms. Hong.

I picked it up and ready to answer her telephone. But as soon as I picked up the telephone, different voice spoke up.

["Tzuyu!"]

I frowned as I heard Y/N's voice on the other line. Not just her voice, I could hear the loud music as if there's something big happening where she is.

I moved my ears away from the telephone after the loud noise that is threatening to break my ears.

"Y/N? What the hell was that?"

["If mom called, tell her I am sleeping. I can't go out of this room, they are blocking it."]

"Sorry, you're too late. Your mom called minutes ago." I said.

["WHAT?! YOU DIDN'T TELL HER THAT I AM NOT THERE, RIGHT?"] She exclaimed which made me annoyed.

"Don't yell at me, woman. The last thing I want to happen is for my ears to bleed because of your voice and that stupid sound background."

Suddenly, I heard a knock. Not in our door but to the other line, the place where Y/N is.

If you wonder how I heard it... Coz.

["This is the principal. Please open up the door."] I heard from the other line.

["Oh no."] Y/N voice.

"Well, I guess you have some explaining to do." I said and turned down the telephone.

Not so long, the noise from the other room stopped. It's like music in my ears after that.

Third Person

While Tzuyu was on her room, she can hear what's happening to the other room, five rooms away from theirs.

The music turned down as the students inside that room stopped.

"Y/N! Your mom!" Chaeyoung exclaimed as she pulled the girl closer the door.

"Now you want me to open it?" Y/N whispered yell.

The knocking continued, Y/N has no choice but to open it. As she did that, she saw her mom who's also shocked that she's there. But not just her mom, Mina is standing behind the principal.

"Y/N? What are you doing here?"

Dahyun and Chaeyoung were standing behind Y/N. Hiding like a kid, while the other students are standing at the back.

As Y/N is about to explain, her mother stopped her.

"I got a call from the other rooms that there's a party going on here. Not just that, there are liquors involved which you know is prohibited in the school."

"I—"

"Mina, as the vice president. I want you to get all the names of students who are in this room."

"Everyo—"

"Everyone." The principal said as she looked at Y/N.

"I'll meet you all tomorrow for your punishment. For now, the party is over. Go back to your rooms." The principal said, not yelling but with authority.

The principal left and the only thing that crossed to Y/N's mind is to chase her mom and explain.

"Mom— I mean Ms. Hong!" Y/N called. Her mom stopped and looked at her.

Her mom doesn't need to speak a word. Y/N can see the disappointed look on her mom's eyes.

"I'm very sorry. I don't know what happened, I woke up—"

"We'll talk tomorrow. But I'm very disappointed, Y/N. You're the president of this school. You know the rules."

"I know... I'm sorry."

"Go back to your room. I'll talk to you with others."

The principal walked away leaving Y/N standing where she is. She just watch as her mom disappeared from her sight. After that, she walked back her room.

As soon as she opened the door, she saw Tzuyu who's still awake.

She didn't say anything, even Tzuyu. Y/N walked to her bed, covered herself with her blanket as she cried silently.

But even the silent sobs can still be heard by Tzuyu's ears. Tzuyu just rolled her eyes and turned the lights off.
