97. Mother's Advice

After driving so long in this wide forest, we finally arrived at the school gate. There are also patrol men guarding outside the gate as we got there.

Before we could enter, those men asked us to leave the car and we had no choice but to follow them.

"This is just for checking. We have to make sure people who get inside are safe." One of the men said that I recognized.

They made us fall in line and started getting our vitals and doing some check up which is very unusual.

That could only mean one thing, this problem is getting more serious.

"May I ask what is this all about?" I asked.

"This is an order from the highest head of the government. There's been report of vampire attacks outside. Many students happened to postponed their vacation to stay inside too. Some went back here. We have to make sure none of the returnees were infected by the vampires' venom."

"They're clear, escort them to the dorm."

"We have to talk to my mom first." I said which made the two guys stopped.

"Okay, lead them to the principal." The other guy said.

The gate went opened and we all walked in with the guy who will be assisting us.

We also get to the inner gate and the first thing I noticed was the students who are in different uniforms. They were scattered around the place with also guards watching them. It's also weird that they are fighting with each other, but not in the very heavy way.

"What the hell is happening?"

"It has been officially confirmed that students who chose to stay here and go back here needs to practice. They want us to be ready for the vampires' attack. The government even setting all people in safe place. But like us, they have to be check so there's no vampires will get to their safe zone."

"This is more like a military basement... I knew something is off." Jihyo said.

"Please just wait here. I'll check if the principal is free to talk." The guy said before entering the office.

A few moments later, he went out again and let us in. We didn't waste more time and we walked in. But I didn't expect what I would see when suddenly there are two more people in the room. The one is sitting in my mom's place while the other one was standing in front of the window, watching what was happening outside.

"Mom." I called as I immediately spotted her, standing beside her table.

I went to her and hugged her and so she did. I felt more relieved as I got to see and hug my mom again.

"I'm glad you're safe." Mom whispered.

"Are they the students?" That one guy asked who was sitting in my mom's chair.

"Yes, president. This is my daughter, Y/N."

I looked at him with a confused look as I tried to remember if I've seen him before or read anything about him from books.

Surely he's not the president of this country. But why did mom call her president?

"Good, put them in the special training program. We can't lose more time. If your prediction is right, we have to get them prepared before this month ends."

"What's happening?" I asked to mom.

"I'll explain later. Let's go..."

As we were about to leave, the guy on who was standing at the window spoke.
