39. Concerned

Third Person

Y/N was contemplating if she should go back inside. She had her hand holding on the rope, but looking at the woods.

"Tzuyu, come on, where are you?" Y/N muttered.

Suddenly, the gate went open. Something she didn't expected. As the gate went open, she saw her mother on the other side with Jihyo.

"M-mom"

"Jihyo, thank you for escorting me, you can go back to your room."

Y/N's eyes landed on Jihyo who's looking at her innocently.

Y/N already knew that Jihyo was the one who tattled about it. Her jaw clenched as she stared at Jihyo.

As Jihyo left, It's just Y/N and her mom.

"You know what will happen, Y/N."

"M-mom—"

"We'll treat your wounds, after that, you'll have to stay in detention hall."

"Wait, Tzuyu was still—"

"Don't let me repeat myself, Y/N. You're the president, you should set a good example!"

"Tzuyu was still in the woods! There was a monster— a wolf... No, werewolf!" Y/N exclaimed which made her mom's expression change.

"Get inside, I'll send people to look for her."

"Let me stay, I need to make sure she's safe."

"No, you'll get in the clinic, treat your wounds, and we'll talk about your punishment!"

Y/N had no choice. She went back inside while her mom walked with her in clinic.

"You now the rules, Y/N. Any students can't leave this place. Yet you broke it!"

"I'm sorry, I just want to make everything perfect for Tzuyu. She's my friend and I—"

"Well your friend is still outside the woods. You think danger doesn't awaits on you outside?"

"Mom, I know, I'm sorry. You don't have to punish Tzuyu too. I was the one who dragged her there."

"What happened?" The nurse asked as they got in the clinic.

"Please clean up her wounds. Make sure she's fine." Y/N's mother said.

"I'll talk to you tomorrow, go back to your room after."

"Mom, I'm sorry."

"You should." Her mom said and left

The nurse walked to Y/N and checked her wounds. Cleaned it and also gave it some treatment.

"Y/N?"

Y/N snapped as someone called her. She saw Tzuyu standing on the doorway, panting."

"Tzuyu! Where did you go?!" Y/N exclaimed as she ran to Tzuyu and checked her.

Y/N noticed that Tzuyu's clothes were different from a while ago.

"I thought something bad happened on you! I swear I will never forgive myself!"

"Hey, I'm fine! I heard that you're here, so I rushed from the dorm."

"Dorm?"

"I-i came back there when I left you for a while. I don't feel well, I had to do something." Tzuyu excused.

"Are you okay now? I thought you were still on the forest."

"No, sorry I left you."

"No, it's okay. It's better that you're not there. Someone tried to attack me... No, there's —"

"Save it, just rest first." Tzuyu said and escorted Y/N back to the bed.

"Is she okay now?" Tzuyu asked.

"She just got light wounds and a bruise but I put already treatment on it."

Y/N sighed in relief as she rest her face on her hands.

"I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have brought you there."

"I told you it's okay. No one got hurt... Well, you got some scratches."

Not too long, someone walked in again. It's Y/N's mother who heard that Tzuyu's in the clinic.

"Tzuyu, you're here already. Guidance officers are searching outside."

Tzuyu explained what happened and Y/N supported it. Probably what Y/N didn't know, Tzuyu lied.

"Mom, I know I have a punishment to face. But believe me, I saw something outside. A w-werewolf, no, I know they are long gone but I know what I saw. It attacked the bear that was also there."

Tzuyu looked at Y/N with worry look. Afraid that the latter would find out that it's her and she just tried to save her from that bear.

"Ms. Hong."

They all looked behind and saw a guidance officer came in.

"It's okay, Tzuyu is already here." Ms. Hong said.

"Not that. We found a bear in the middle of the wounds... Dead."

Y/N stood up from her seat and walked to her mother.

"That bear, I saved it before. I think it doesn't live here." Y/N said which made Tzuyu look at her in confusion. Even Y/N's mother.

"So this is not the first time you sneaked out. You also did that before. You're really in a big trouble, young lady."

"I-i know..."

"Thank you, Harold. Please lock the gate again."

"How about the werewolf—"

"Enough Y/N! Please. Everyone is tired. We'll look it up tomorrow." Her mother said.

"Is she done?" Her mother asked on the nurse.

"Yes, Ms. Hong."

"Tzuyu, do you need anything else here?" Ms. Hong asked

"N-no, I am good now." Tzuyu said.

"Then go back to your dorm. Tomorrow I'll talk to the both of you. I'll think if Tzuyu has to be punished but surely Y/N do."

The rest left the room. Tzuyu and Y/N are just the ones who are in the room.

"I'm sorry." Y/N said.

"Why?"

"You'll be in trouble because of me."

"Don't think about it, let's just go back." Tzuyu said as she left the room.

The two walked back in the dorm with thoughts filling their heads.

"Y/N, what you saw in the forest... Is it true?" Tzuyu asked.

"I'm sure about it."

"What did you mean a while ago that it attacked the bear that you saved?"

"Last time I sneaked, I saw that bear. Surprisingly it didn't attack. I treated it. And a while ago, I knew it was the same bear. But then the werewolf came and attacked the bear."

"Are you sure? D-don't you think it save you?" Tzuyu asked.

"I don't know... I was surprised that I saw that. I am not thinking right. I just realized it's a werewolf when I am out of the forest already."

"Do you think they'll believe you?" Tzuyu asked which made Y/N stop.

"Why not?"

"Coz werewolves were long gone." Tzuyu said.

Y/N didn't reply right away but looking at Tzuyu's eyes. She noticed it again. She doesn't know if her eyes were the problem or maybe it was just too dark in the forest that she saw Tzuyu's eyes differently.

"Why? You think I was lying?" Y/N asked.
