22. Secret's Out

Tzuyu's PoV

It was already dinner and we had just finished eating at the cafeteria. We were heading back to our dorm when suddenly I heard something behind my ears.

"Are you sure you looked for him?"

"Yes, but I can't find him anywhere."

"Do you think one if the student council found it? Or maybe worse, a teacher or the principal found that dog. You know they don't allow any pets here."

"I already asked the student council except Y/N. I don't think neither the teacher nor the principal got it since they'll announce it for sure."

I gulped and shook my head as I heard that. I just want to forget that night, when I killed a dog.

"Tzuyu, are you okay?"

I felt Y/N's hand on my arm and as I looked up, I saw her staring at me.

"Do you feel sick again?"

"N-no, I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I just want to go back to the room." I said.

Y/N bid goodbye to others as we arrived in our room. I walked in my bed and sat there as I tried to forget that flashing memory.

"You need some water? I think you ate a lot tonight." She said.

I looked up only to see her holding a glass of water and offering it to me.

"Thank you." I said and get it from her.

As I drink the water, I felt relief. I can still feel that Y/N is looking at me so I looked back at her.

"Don't be so worried. I told you I'm fine."

"How can I not be worried. I'm your friend. Also, this is the first time you accepted a glass of water from me instead of saying you don't want it you're okay." She said which made me  want to laugh.

She seriously uses her common sense which is not surprising. She's really a president for a reason.

"What?"

"Nothing, I just thought you're not that dumb." I said which made her frowned.

"Excuse me? I've been a consisting top student. Of course I am not dumb."

"Yeah, sure."

"Anyway, what exactly is your purpose why you need to talk to my mom?" She asked as sge sat on her bed but facing me.

"I'm planning to drop out and just go back outside where my parents."

"What?!" She exclaimed as she jumped out of her bed.

"You're joking me, right?"

"No."

"Why?!" She asked.

This time her voice is unusual. Not like the usual tone she uses when she's talking.

"I just don't want to be here anymore." I honestly said.

"Is it the school? Our classmates? Is it me?"

"What?"

"Are you annoyed that I always talk so loud? Am I annoying you too much? Why? I thought we are friends?!" Y/N continued to ask as her eyes are bawling.

"I said I just want to. I don't think this school is for me."

"What do you mean? You just been here for not even a week!"

"I know, that's why I don't want to stay here for long. I can't see anything good here." I said when in fact, I am just afraid that time will come, and I can't hold myself anymore.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes. Even if my parents doesn't want me to leave here. I'll try to convince them."

Y/N didn't reply anymore. She just went back to her bed and tucked herself with her blanket.

"Don't get me wrong, I am happy to be your roommate. I just don't think I should stay here for long." I said but instead of a reply, she just turned her lights off.

For some reason, I felt guilty for suddenly making her like that. I felt like I hurt her without even trying to pull out the monster inside me.

Not so long, I could her her light sobs. I know that she's crying but I can't understand why.

It's not like we are so close for her to get affected. And the fact that she has many friends. Is it even a problem if she loses one?

It's already almost three but I am still awake. I don't know what is bothering me that I can't sleep. And for some reason, I am worried. Coz I know anytime by now, the same thing like the last time will happen to me.

Luckily when I was in the clinic, nothing happened. As of now I don't know how I turned to a completely monster. It was the first time. And I thought I will never comeback to my real body.

I looked at my side and saw Y/N's back. She's sleeping now after she cried silently.

I know that I could be the reason why she cried. I am just not sure why. But for the first time someone cries for me.

I stepped out of my bed and walked to get a water. I am just minding my business when my ears caught a strange sound.

It's coming from the outside.

I carefully walked in front if the door and confirmed that it came from the outside. As I heard the noise slightly going, I opened the door and saw a person.

It's Jihyo

I don't really want to barge in, but the way she moves is so suspicious. It's like she doesn't want anyone to see her.

As she went out of the fire exit of the building, I decided to follow her. I made sure she won't notice it at all. She walked downstairs until I know that we are already on the ground floor.

But then, I suddenly lost her.

I looked around to find her. She didn't walk out of the fire exit door. She just vanished like a wind.

I looked around and noticed something on the staircase. There's a small hole but something is coming out from there.

Sound.

I tried if I can take off the staircase and surprisingly I did. I removed about two staircases which fits a human inside. But what surprised me the most is that there's a way towards to somewhere.

I decided to follow my guts and curiosity. I walked down into a dark narrow place until the sound is becoming louder than ever.

My eyes stopped, along with my breathing. It is not just a narrow wall that is hidden under a staircase. There's a big place, full of lights and people that are partying.

In the center, I saw something confuses me. Made me ask if what exactly I went through.

People fighting but the watchers are enjoying it. As if they are there to entertain the watchers.

And what made me more confused is they are not ordinary people who I used to know.

They are people who got something with them to fight.

They're almost like me.
