40. Punishment

Your PoV

I woke up early before my alarm rang. Actually, I haven't slept well. What happened that midnight was just terrifying. Every time I close my eyes, I keep remembering the scene where the werewolf just looked into my eyes.

I looked at my side and saw that Tzuyu was still sleeping on her bed.

What happened that time was just crazy. I felt different emotions. I was first worried of Tzuyu because she suddenly doesn't feel well. She left and I didn't know that she came back to the dorm. And then that werewolf attack... I thought I would go back to school without Tzuyu.

I sighed in my thoughts as I got up to go to the bathroom. I removed the bandages on my wound so I could go to shower and change them.

It just took me some minutes after I finished. I put on a new bandage. I was about to go out but I forgot my towel making me go back and get it.

Suddenly a thought came to my mind the moment I pulled my towel from the rack.

I remembered the time when I was out of the woods already and thinking if I should go inside with Tzuyu.

The rope was there.

If Tzuyu went back to the dorm, she has to use the rope to climb to the other side. Leaving the rope on the ither side instead outside.

That only means she didn't comeback to the dorm. But why did she lie about it?

Suddenly my thoughts were cut as someone knocked, it was Tzuyu.

"Y/N are you okay? You've been there for long." She said.

"I'm done." I said and went out.

"You woke up early, did you even got enough sleep?"

"Honestly, no." I said which made her laugh lightly.

"You changed your bandages already?"

"Yup."

"Okay, I'll go to shower." She said and entered as I nodded.

I am still wondering why Tzuyu lied about it. It's impossible that she throw the rope back when she had told me that she's coming back.

Not to long Tzuyu came out of the bathroom. I'm done preparing too so I just decided to wait on my bed.

"Anyway, Tzuyu. What happened to you that time? You looked not fine."

She stopped as if she's thinking what she's gonna answer.

"Uhm... I think because of what we ate last night on dinner. My stomach just acted up." Tzuyu said.

I just nodded and we both head out of our room. Just in time since Dahyun and Chaeyoung came out. I also saw Momo who just went out with Jeongyeon.

"Hi guys!" Chaeyoung said.

"Oh wow, you two look like a zombie. Didn't you had enough sleep?" Momo asked.

"You two, what did you do last night huh?" Dahyun asked as she plays her brows on us.

"Well, I guess you didn't know."

Suddenly a voice not from us spoke. We looked who was it and it's Jihyo.

"Didn't know what?' Dahyun asked.

"Should I tell it? Nah, I might offend our president... But they will find out too. Let me just tell it so you don't need to." Jihyo said.

"Well Y/N and Tzuyu were out of the school. They sneaked out." Jihyo said.

I felt eyes on me after Jihyo said that. It's not just Chseyoung,Dahyun, or Momo. Even Jihyo's friends are looking at me. At Tzuyu.

"Is that true?" Momo whispered.

"Wait, isn't this your second time receiving a punishment for this school year? I guess your new roommate is influencing you well. First because you tried to stand by her when someone gossiping about her. And now this. Nice work Tzuyu, you're a big influence on Y/N." Jihyo said.

I clenched my fist as I tried myself to burst in anger. It's just early in the morning but she's already ruining my day!

"See you guys, have fun with your punishment." She said as she walked away with her friends.

I can't take it anymore and about to run to her but Tzuyu and Momo stopped me.

"Hey, you don't want to have another more punishment, right? Momo asked to the latter.

"You really did sneak out last night? Woah." Chaeyoung uttered.

"But why?" Momo asked.

"It's not like we want to do something bad. Y/N just wanted to give me something." Tzuyu explained.

"Give? In the forest?" Chaeyoung asked.

"A surprise... It was her birthday yesterday, sorry I didn't mention." I said.

"It was your birthday and you didn't tell us?!" Dahyun exclaimed in Tzuyu which made Tzuyu flinched.

"Chill, I didn't say to anyone. Y/N just found out."

"Well just see it as luck. If i told you, you'd be probably part of that trouble too. Well maybe just Dahyun and Chaeyoung." I said as I knew that Momo won't agree on that idea if ever.

"What now? Did your mom know?" Momo asked.

"Of course. Jihyo was the one who told mom." I sighed as we just walked out of the building.

"You go can go to our classroom first, I have to meet my mom." I said before bidding goodbye.

I made my way to the office while the class hasn't started yet.

As I arrived outside, I breathe deeply and knock. I got a signal making me open the door and saw my mother waiting.

I didn't even know hoe to great her. I know she's probably disappointed of what I just did. And just thinking about it, it stings.

"Good morning." I simply said unlike the usual mornings where I went to her and hug her.

Mom went out of her seat to walk to me.

"You know that your actions have consequences."

"I know."

"I have to stop you on attending your afternoon classes. You'll only get to attend after the annual showdown like the other students."

I just nodded as I know that I already have no choice but to accept it, even if I wanted to attend those classes.

"But I want to ask you why did you do that?" Mom asked.

I looked at her and just explained that I wanted to give Tzuyu a surprise and the only place I know is that place.

"You said you've done this before."

"I did... I'm sorry, maybe I was like those students. I kinda got bored roaming around and I wanted a new place." I just said.

"I don't want you to leave again. We have rules to follow. Students can leave if it's already vacation."

"I know. I am really sorry."

"I'm still glad nothing bad happened to you. If something attacked you, i wouldn't forgive myself." Mom said which made me look at her.

"You believe me that I saw a werewolf?"

"We are still investigating. I know it's kinda shocking that you saw that. I know you would lie, but they are long gone."

"What if that's what we just thought? I really saw it mom. My eyes saw it."

"I know, that's why we can't allow anyone to leave unless it's school vacation."

I just look at my mom and tried to read what she's thinking. I know I can't, but she's my mom. I somehow know what's running in her mind.

"What if they are still here? What if there are still people who are aligned with those creatures? What will happen?"

"I don't know, Y/N. But there's a reason why vampires and werewolves are not allowed in here. Not just because they are gone, but they will cause trouble just like before."
