31. Thoughts

Tzuyu's PoV

Our class has ended and we all went back to our dorms. I was so tired throughout the day especially after we had the last subject.

I was a bit afraid too since I have no control on my powers. It's just like it's happened to be on by default. I know that my super hearing is already normal for me. But what happened a while ago is not.

I felt stronger than before. I was also glad that my monster didn't came out.

"You did so good a while ago. I knew we are good together." Y/N said for the nth time.

I just looked at her and rolled my eyes secretly. To be honest, my power has nothing to say on hers. And the way she just used her power is like she's been used to it already.

"You should've seen their faces. They are shocked."

"There's nothing to be surprised about that. Technically all I did is dodge your throws faster."

"Still! The way you handle and stopped the last throw is like you were hulk. I say your power is something else." Y/N said and sat on her bed.

I walked at my table and put my things down.

"You know what, I was thinking that we are really meant to be roommates. We have lots in common! Jokes on you who doubted we won't get something in common." She said.

I looked back at her while sitting on my chair and she's just relaxing on her bed.

"I never said anything like that."

"Yes you did. You said we might... Might." She reminded.

"Well I guess you're so friendly that you are also friends with fate." I said.

"Maybe. But, I am just happy that you are my roommate. Even if you hated me the first time. I think I am getting you slowly by now." She said, more like a question.

As I looked on her, she's looking at me like asking the thing she just said a while ago.

"If you haven't saved me last time, there's no possibility that I'll treat you a friend. But yeah, you can say that." I said which made her smile even more.

"You know that I'm just stopping myself to hug your right now, right? If you give me a cue, I'll do it right away."

"No thanks, I have things to do." I said which me her hissed.

"Aren't you going to do yours?"

"I'll do it later, I have to go first first." Y/N said as she stood out of her bed and getting ready to go.

"Where are you going?"

"On my mom. I have to tell her how my day went. See you!" She said and left right away.

Sometimes I don't understand where she gets that energy. But what I didn't know is the answer is right in front of me. It's because she's surrounded by love and that made her personality light... No wonder why I am the total opposite.

Your PoV

As I left the dorm, I headed to the school office to meet my mom like the usual thing I do every end of the day.

I knocked first and walked in only to see an empty room. I wandered around to check her but I didn't see even her shadow.

"Is she out by now?" I asked myself.

Since it's still early for dinner, I decided to wait in here. I saw on my mom's couch but decided to read some books on my mom's bookshelf.

I just picked a random book and walked back to the couch. As I am relaxing and turning pages, something fell from the book.

I picked it from the floor and realized it is an old phtograph.

"Oh, this is mom." I mumbled as I recognized the picture.

Suddenly the door went open. Mom walked in without noticing me.

"Mom." I called and walked to her and hugged her.

"Y/N, you've been here for long?"

"Not really. I just came. I didn't see you so I waited and grab something to read." I said and handed back the book to her with the picture.

"Oh. You saw the picture." Mom said.

"Yeah, it was you." I said which she reciprocated with a smile.

"Yeah, It was me when I was young and still studying here. I suddenly miss the old days." Mom said as she looks at that photograph lovingly.

I looked at it again and noticed that she's with someone.

"How is the other one anyway?" I asked mom.

She looked at me and this time her eyes turned to sadness.

"An old friend. She's the fiest friend I had when I entered here. We promised to finish this school. After that we graduated, we got separated when we go back outside world." Mom said.

I remember it. Mom used to be a student here too. After she graduated, like other students of this school, they are allowed to go back outside and live normally with the normal ones.

After mom had me she decided to go back here and became teacher. And after years, she became the principal.

"You never seen here ever?" I asked.

"Yeah."

"Why you didn't search her up, mom?"

"I did. But I have a feeling that she changed her name. You knowz students who graduated here are also allowed to change their names. That will help them to live for new life."

"I hope you'll meet her soon." I said.

Mom just nodded and put the book back to it shelf. After that, mom and I talk how my day went. She also asked about my experience about the new subjects and facility.

"It was so good mom. Everyone liked the new change. Including me of course. And just a while ago, we did best on our A.E subject." I said.

"We?"

"Tzuyu and I. We were partners. And her power, it was so cool. Her power is superhuman senses. That includes super strength. And our teacher even complimented us." I said.

"Wow, that's good. Keep it up. I am happy that Tzuyu is feeling welcome now. And more happy because you are helping her."

After that talk, I bid goodbye and head back to the dorm. But on my way, I saw Jihyo talking to her friends.

I had my choice, it's either I'll ignore her and walk straight to my room. Or get notice by her because I am an annoying one in her eyes.

But suddenly I remember what happened in the office. Mom had a friend. Also her first friend when she got here. But she doesn't know where her friend is now. For some reason I am afraid that I graduate and Jihyo and I won't be good as before. That we'll forget each other after this.
