33. Quarrel...

Tzuyu's PoV

"Tzuyu! Let's partner up again." Y/N said as our teacher instructed us to look for a partner and do what we did yesterday.

"Nah-ah, not today Y/N. Look for other partners. Ma'am said to look for a new partner." Chaeyoung said.

"What?! But I want to be partner with Tzuyu." Y/N said disappointedly.

I just ignored them as they were arguing who will partner up with me. Suddenly someone approached me and asked me to be her partner for today.

"I mean if that's just not a thing for Y/N?" Jihyo said.

I looked at Y/N who's now talking to our teacher with Chaeyoung too.

"Sure." I said.

"Ma'am! Tzuyu and I are partnering today!" Jihyo informed them which made Y/N look at us surprisingly.

She gave me a surprised look as if she just didn't expect what I did. I shrugged and looked away and followed Jihyo.

"So, I know our start is not that good. But trust me, I don't want any trouble." Jihyo clarified.

"If you say so."

I got ready and so she did. I waited for her to attack since I've never seen her using her power. Or even if I did, I never encountered it.

"Go on, you can start it." Jihyo said.

"I'm best on defense, I say you'll go first." I said.

She smirked as she stopped walking on circle. She stared at me for a minute and then suddenly, I met what I meant to meet.

She shook her clenching right hand and a whiplash on the ground occurred. It's like she's holding tight on an invisible whip.

I even heard the sound it made. Like a solid thing hit on the ground.

"Scared already?"

I got alert when she splashed it in my direction.  I didn't react fast which made her hit me.

I felt a slap on my face, enough to get me on the floor. And what is more annoying is her victorious smile, and eyes looking down on me.

"I guess you're not really into defense." She said.

I immediately got up and tried to think of a plan. I know since the beginning that I have no chances over an air. It just made it harder for me when I can't even see when she's going to attack.

Come one Tzuyu, think...

How can you out do air?

Air is technically just around. I can't see it...

Or maybe I can?

"You sure you don't want to attack first? Okay." She said and did a run again. But this time, I won't let her.

I tried to feel the wind. On which spot is stronger. It's not like it's talking too much space, so I can definitely see it... By feeling it.

As I sensed a motion on my left, I know that there will be the next attack.

"Opps!"

A tripped on the ground after I just tried to avoid Jihyo's attack on my upper left. I tried to duck as the motion went closer, but I didn't notice that she's also gonna attack on my lower right.

"Tzuyu are you okay?" Our teacher asked.

I stood up and dusted myself as I glared at Jihyo.

"That's a good one. You almost got me. Luckily I got you first." She said.

"I think you should go to the clinic, your cheek is bleeding." She said innocently.

I checked it and I just felt that my right face is coming back to its senses after being numb because of the splash from her first attack.

"Tzuyu let me bring you—"

"I can go there." I said, ignoring our teacher's offer.

I leave the practice hall and go to the clinic to get it clean and treat. While walking there and holding on my cheek. I suddenly have the feeling of wanting to explode. She literally embarrassed me in front of everyone. And the fact that she's having fun with it is just making my blood boil.

Your PoV

The class ended and Tzuyu hasn't been back yet. As we were heading out of the practice place, Jihyo stopped me.

"Tell you friend I'm sorry. I didn't know she couldn't handle me well." She said then she left with her friends.

"I wonder what happened to Tzuyu. She hasn't come back yet." Momo said.

"Tss. She deserved it. She literally ditched me for Jihyo."

I walked back to my dorm without even thinking if Tzuyu would be there. As I thought that she's in the clinic, probably having fun making out with the school nurse, but nope. She's at her desk... Reading.

"How's the class? Did it end well?" She asked but didn't look at me.

"I don't know, maybe if you went back you'll know." I said and sat on my bed.

"I don't want to. I just got embarrassed by Jihyo. Now I know why you two didn't last together as friends." She said.

"Huh. how ironic you know something about friendship now." I scoffed.

She looked back at me only to see that I was sitting up straight with my arms crossed and still my bag on.

Her stare said it all, she's confused.

"What?"

"You heard me Tzuyu."

"Are you literally mad at me?" She asked.

For ditching me to be your partner, of course not! That's a small thing, really!

"Whatever, I guess you're acting up again." She said and went back to her thing.

"I wished Jihyo did more on you! You're so annoying right now!" You yelled and left her in our room.

I don't know, I am really mad. I'm disappointed to be honest. We were partners! I could literally talk to our teacher for her to be my practice buddy again but she didn't wait and chose Jihyo!

And now she's whining because she lost to Jihyo?! I think she deserves it!

"Yeah! HAHAHA! That girl just got  flicked by Jihyo. She's weak, I wonder why the president is keeping her up."

My head turned immediately as I heard those voices in the hallway. I don't have to know who they are talking about. I already know because of the details they give.

I walked to them and faced the girl who just spoke those words on Tzuyu.

"P-president, you—"

"Say a thing about my partner, you wouldn't like what will happen next."
