38. Encounter

Your PoV

"How did you find this place?" Tzuyu asked.

"It's outside the school. This is easy to find."

"I mean, since when did you start going here?"

I think and remember the first time I went here. It was a long time ago, and that time, I was extremely alone.

"When I lost the person who accepted me as a friend and not someone who's a daughter of soon to be a principal." I said.

"You mean Jihyo?"

I just hummed as a reply and looked at the stars.

"What happened?"

"Well... You know the time when I said that I got many friends. That's not true. In fact, I only have few friends, real friends. Jihyo was the first one who looked at me as a friend. And not as a student who aces the tests and have a connection to school. Most of them got intimidated with that. Jihyo was the first one who treated me differently, a good different." I said.

"One day, she told me that she doesn't want to be my friend anymore. I tried to ask her why, she said she regret to be my friend. She never wanted to be my friend. And after that day, she became cold to me. Then annual showdown came, I defeated her... She was never cold after that. She's... So mad. That time I knew I totally lost her." I said.

"That's why I learned to break a rule. I went here to release what I feel. And saw this." I said.

"How about Chaeyoung and Dahyun?" Tzuyu asked.

"We only became friends after that. They admitted that they used to hate me because I am a daughter of a teacher. I could blabber their troubles if ever. You know how they are trouble magnets, rigth?" I said which made us laugh.

"But since we became friends, they got less in trouble. I guess they are afraid of me after all." I added.

"And momo came."

"Yeah."

"And now you're here, not just my friend, my roommate, also my soulmate."

"You believe in that?"

"You're not?" I asked back.

She didn't reply and just sighed.

"I don't know, I never had a strong connection to anyone except my parents." She confessed.

"So you do admit that we have strong connection. That's so sweet, Tzuyu."

"Shut up."

"Sorry." I giggled.

Tzuyu's PoV

I don't know how long we've been staying here. Y/N and I continue to talk... Most of it is her talking actually.

As I look at the sky I noticed something right in front of my eye.

"Woah, the moon is so beautiful. I heard that it's a full moon now, what a timing,right?

My eyes were stuck at it. As if it's telling me something. It's not good, I'm feeling weird inside. My stomach is feeling weird, the whole inside me.

"Tzuyu, are you okay?" Y/N asked.

"You're sweating."

I looked at myself and saw that Y/N is right.

"Tzuyu, your eyes-"

"P-please wait, I-i just need to-"

"Tzuyu are you okay?!"

"Just stay!" I exclaimed and ran wherever my feet brought me.

I run as fast as I can. Ignoring the feeling that is running through my whole body.

My eyes becoming blurry, as if it's adjusting. My ears are hearing even the quietest sound around the woods.

And the most unimaginative thing that I could ever imagined just happened. I changed into monster.

My mind tells me to howl. The sharp claws and teeth needs attention.

I know my heart is racing wild by this time and I can't do something to change myself back.

Did Y/N saw it? I changed?

As I struggle to think how will I comeback, I heard an unusual sound coming from the place where I left Y/N.

Not just I hear it, but I can smell the scent of a furry animal not so far.

I suddenly remember the time when my parents and I first went here. There's a wild bear attacked us.

My thoughts of running away for Y/N not to see me melted down. I ran back where she was, even if the possibility that she won't recognize me and gets scared of my appearance are both high.

My eyes immediately spotted her still sitting on that same spot I left her. Although the worries in her eyes is visible.

But I came more alert as I saw the animal that I've been sensing. The wild bear hiding on leaves eyeing Y/N.

I ran faster than ever when I saw Y/N stood out of her place to check something, and I know it's the bear.

As I get closer and closer, Y/N gets close by that bushes.

No, no, come on!

Third Person

While Tzuyu was out of Y/N's sight, what Y/N didn't know is something awaits on her.

She heard some movement coming from a hidden spot. Although she was sick worried of Tzuyu who just left, her curiousty won to check what's behind that bushes.

She walked slowly, making sure that her guard is up. As she swipe the bush, her eyes immediately recognized where the noise is coming.

Before Y/N could react, she heard a loud growl coming from behind. In her surprise, an unknown creature jumped on the wildbear that Y/N just saw.

Y/N gasped as she saw what just happened. The wildbear was trying to get off the grip of the unknown creature. But the strength of the two are the same and serious.

"Tzuyu!" Y/N yelled calling her friend for help.

But her fear run throughout her body as that thing hovering the wild bear looked back on her. Shivers won as they got contact. Y/N's head failed to process what is she seeing. And the first thing she did what to run away.

She ran as fast as she could that she even tripped in the woods and got some scratches.

"Tzuyu! Where are you?!" Y/N cried as she ran and realized that her feet turned her back to the gate.

She stopped and looked back, thinking if her friend is safe.

"Tzuyu, where are you?!"
