12. Friends? ...

Third Person

The class stopped as the new one spoke up. It's not like they expect her to join especially Y/N. They all looked at Tzuyu including Jihyo who's shocked.

"Excuse me? Are you saying that I'm insecure? Of what? Y/N receiving her punishment?" Jihyo scoffed.

"No. I'm saying is that you're insecure because even in this kind of situation, she still got the other's attention."

"Tzuyu." Y/N called.

Tzuyu can sense that it won't end there. Although she's ready on what is the result of what she did. In fact, the only reason why she did that is to stop the commotion happening in classroom.

She knows that if she won't make a scene to distract the others it will be a bigger mess. So might as well stop the fire before it'll spread. And she knew she did well.

Before something more happened, the teacher came with confused look as he saw his student in peace. More like shocked but what does he know? He didn't see the whole act.

"Uh, Y/N, the principal wants you in the office. You may excuse yourself." The teacher said.

Y/N nodded and left the room. She knows that everyone is looking at her, but for some reason, she doesn't feel ashamed.

She walked to the office as she keeps comforting herself. Not so long, she arrived at the office. She knocked and got the signal, so she entered the place.

As she opened the door, she saw her mother, talking Chaeyoung and Dahyun. Meanwhile, Y/N searched for the other students.

Where are they? Y/N asked to herself.

She continued to walk and as she's close to her mother's desk, she stopped.

"Thank you for saying the truth, Chaeyoung and Dahyun. But that doesn't mean that you are less responsible for what you did. Just like the others, you'll be suspended for 2 days." The principal said which made Y/N in shocked.

She knows that she's next and for sure, she'll end up in the same situation.

Meanwhile, Chaeyoung and Dahyun accepted their fate. They looked back as they about to leave and saw Y/N.

They didn't bother to say any words. They just bowed their head, afraid to look at their president and left afterwards.

As soon as it's only the principal and Y/N. Y/N remained in her spot as she wait for her mother to speak.

"Take a seat."

Y /N did what her mother said. She sat across the table with fidgeting fingers.

"I'm sorry." Her mother said which made Y/N stop.

She looked at her mom as if she heard it wrong.

"Chaeyoung and Dahyun told me the truth. Good thing they did. Because even if you are my daughter, I won't hesitate to give you the same action I did to them." Her mother said which made Y/N smiled.

Tears wanting to escape her eyes tho she stopped herself to be emotional. She ran to her mother, and hugged her.

After a minute, Y/N broke the hug and walked back to her seat. The burden inside her vanished and suddenly, she's the same smiley person again.

"But I just want to tell you,before I found out, I am disappointed on you last night because you failed as a president of student council. I know how hard that word is and sadly I used it on you. It wasn't nice of me."

Y/N smiled as she held her moms hands.

"It's okay mom, I understand. It's funny because Tzuyu said the same thing. When I thought I failed as your daughter, when in fact the only thing where I messed up is being the president of student council."

"Well you should thank her. She's a good roommate for that."

Tzuyu's PoV

The class started after Y/N left. Although the drama was done, I can still feel the eyes of the other students looking at me. Momo didn't even tried to hide.

I looked at her which made her averted her gaze.

I just shook my head as I get my notes and listen to the topic that the teacher is discussing.

"Anyway, I was told that there's a new student in this class. May I know who's that student?" The teacher asked.

I just raised my hand and as he looked at me, I stood up and introduce myself.

"My name is Chou Tzuyu." I simply said and sat down.

"Oh, nice to meet you. If you don't mind me asking, do you have any relatives around this school? Or someone who used to be around?"

"I don't think so."

"Oh... Okay." He said.

"Well, anyway, since you are here now. I'll probably add you on Ms. Hirai's group. Ms. Hirai, are you working with your project already?" The teacher asked on Momo.

I looked at her too. At first I didn't know it was her since I am not familiar with her last name.

"Ah, yes sir. We are working on it." Momo said.

"Okay, please add Tzuyu in your project. Also, Tzuyu, please don't be shy to approach Momo." He said.

I just nodded and looked at Momo. She's smiling awkwardly at me so I just ignored her.

After few minutes, Y/N came back. She walked until she got at the back of my seat.

"Tzuyu, thank you for a while ago." She said.

I didn't look back at her and acted like I didn't hear what I said. In fact, she has no reason to thank me.

"Can I treat you later? Anything you want-"

"Ms. Hong, mind if you'll tell me what's your topic over there?"

Finally Y/N stopped.

"Nothing sir, I'm sorry." She said.

"That's what I thought... Anyway, going back to the topic..."

The time continued as I did my best to intact all the lessons that the teachers taught us.

After hours of staying, the bell rings indicating that the lunch break starts.

The students grab their things as they exited the room.

"Hey, let's go?" Y/N asked which made me frown.

"Go where?"

"Cafeteria! I told, my treat." She said and dragged me out with Momo following us.

Not so long we arrived at the school cafeteria. I keep pulling my hands off her but she just won't let my arms back.

"Choose." She said.

"I don't want, I'm not hungry." I said.

With that, she let go of me.

"Momo, tell her." Y/N said which made Momo stop as she was eyeing the foods on the counter area.

"Oh, right... Y/N doesn't take no as an answer."

"I didn't say no, I said I'm not hungry." I said.

"That's the same thing." Y/N said.

"Are you also going to treat me?" Momo asked on Y/N.

"If Tzuyu would let me."

"And since when I get to decide what you should do?" I said.

"Come on, this is my first time doing this. I'll treat you because you stood by my side. You're a real friend." She said.

"Friend? Since when we became friends?"

Momo and Y/N looked at each other as if they don't know what to answer anymore.

"B-but you..."

"You know what, forget it. I'm not hungry but thank you for your kindness." I said and left them.

"Hey! Tzuyu! How about chips?!"
