63. Reunited

Your PoV

We've been searching for about thirty minutes but we haven't seen any sign of Tzuyu. But that didn't stop me from looking for her.

We continued to walk and I could say we are a bit far from the school already. I haven't been here in this part of the forest. I am not even sure how long this forest is because I haven't tried going to this part.

"Y/N, don't you wanna rest first? You might be drained after what you did a while ago" Mom asked.

"No mom, I'm fine. We need to find Tzuyu. I'm sure she's just somewhere around here. We can't let her stroll around the forest alone." I said.

"About what you saw a while ago. Is this the first time?"

"I guess... When I woke up, I was confused because I thought something else was happening. But then, I just predicted it would happen."

"I guess your hold on your intelligence is becoming strong. You're really doing great Y/N." Mom said as I sense the pride in her voice.

"Mom... About Tzuyu's mother, how did you accept it? How did you accept that she has to leave you." I asked.

I mean, it may be a different thing compared to me. Tzuyu's mom is my mom's best friend. And when she died, it felt like she left too. I'm sure that's what mom felt. But then, Tzuyu, left me without even fixing what was between us. And it made me want to be angry at her.

"There's nothing much I could say. I just found out that I have to continue alone." Mom said.

"When granny said that Tzuyu and I reminded her of someone. Is she referring to you and Tzuyu's mom?" I asked.

Mom nodded silently as a smile was visible in her lips.

"We are so close. We're like... Sisters. That's why I am happy Tzuyu enrolled in this school. I get to see a living person who somehow carries her face. And to say, they got the same attitude too. Her mom always sneaks out of the school, while I was the one who covered her." Mom said.

"Well it's good that she keeps coming back."

"She does. Because we had a promise that we'll graduate together. Those are most good days." Mom said.

We continued to search and this time it's much darker. Only the lights from our flashlight are helping us.

I looked up at the sky only to see the clouds covering the moon.

"Principal Hong, the patrols were done searching for the whole school and other establishments. They didn't find the student we were looking for."

"Okay, just tell them to keep the guards up. It's important that we have a team waiting at the gate." Mom said.

After a few more minutes, we continued searching. But I can already see that they are close to giving up. Mom is already tired too.

"Ms. Hong, we should just continue this tomorrow. We don't want to have any encounters with vampires." As I heard that, I looked at them.

Mom is still planning if she should agree on their decision but I'm pretty sure she's tired already.

As mom looked at me, I already knew what she was about to say.

"No, I won't go back until I find Tzuyu. You can go back if you want, I'll handle myself."

"Y/N you can't —"

"I can, mom. I can because I want to. Do you think I can just sleep knowing I've seen what may happen to my friend?"

"It's late, Y/N. Everyone is tired too. Even you." Mom said as she's about to approach me but I stopped her by using my powers unconsciously.
