A Love Like Ours Never Ends

"I miss you spending time with us here"

Today was the night of the Jabot party. Adam was getting ready for the night
"Connor are you almost ready"he hollered for him
"In a minute"Connor answered
"Okay we need to do soon if I'm gonna drop you off at the sleepover" he told him
Adam was texting Sally "Try not to look too pretty tonight"
She texted back "Just for that I'm gonna look so hot you'll jealous"
That made Adam chuckle
"Okay ready for the sleepover "Connor told him
"Awesome, now Mom is out of town so if there's any issues you can call me"Adam told him
"But it's your work thing"Connor said
"Yes, but you always come first"he said
Connor nodded
"Okay let's go" Adam said as he guided him out

Everyone was mingling. Adam was standing with Jack when Sally walked over to them
"Good evening, thank you so much for the invite"she told them
"No problem" Jack looked around "No Chloe tonight" he asked
"Um no, she had a family emergency. So I'm solo tonight" she told him
Adam took a sip of his drink while eyeing Sally "Well I hope you enjoy yourself Sally" he told her
She smiled and walked away

Sally was talking with someone when Adam came up to her "Come with me"he whispered in her ear and walked away
Sally smiled " Will you excuse me"she told them and went to find Adam
Sally went down a hallway "Kansas" she hollered in a soft tone
Just then Adam opened the bathroom door and pulled her in
"Woah" she as he caught her off guard "What are you doing we agreed not to risk anything"she told him
He lifted her onto the sink "I know but I needed a minute alone with you so I could properly kiss you and tell you you look gorgeous tonight"he said as he ran his hands up her thighs
She smiled "Well you just me and thank you by the way"she wrapped her arms around his neck "But you didn't kiss me yet"she pouted
"Oh how terrible of me" he chuckled "Come here" he said then pulled her in for a kiss. He pulled her body as close to him as he could
Sally leaned her head back while Adam started kissing her neck. She ran her hand through his hair
Sally pulled away after a few minutes "I would love nothing more to go further, but you need to get back out there"she told him as leaned her forehead against his, trying to catch her breath
"You're right" he said as he let out a breath and kissed her shoulder "We probably shouldn't leave together" he added
"Ya that's probably a good idea, you go" she said fixing his tie " I need stay and fix myself, thanks to you"she teased him and jumped off the sink
He smirked at her "You're welcome"he said then left

Sally was fixing her hair when her phone rang. She was surprised to see who was calling
"Hello Connor, are you okay"she asked
"I'm sorry for calling you but I don't feel good and didn't want to bother my dad" he paused "Can you come get me"he asked
"I can go find your dad for you"she said
"No, its a big night for him and Mom is away"he told her
"Sure, I'll be right there, just text me the address"she told him then hung and ran out

Sally brought Connor back to the apartment. He was laying on the couch, she brought him some ginger ale
"Here you go"she said as she handed it to him
"Thanks"he said as he hung up a little "I didn't know you were at the party too"he said
"No it's okay"she told him as she rested her hand on his leg "I'm glad you trusted me, and I will do anything for you" she smile at him
Connor smiled back at her "Sally can I ask you something"
"Of course you can"she told him
"Why did you and Dad break up
Sally was caught off guard a little "It's complicated, things happened" she told him
"Was it because of my grandfather" he asked
"Why would you say that" she asked she gave him a questioning look
" I heard Dad and him fighting, they don't know I heard. But I heard grandpa say somethings"
"Oh" she said
"I miss you spending time with us here"he told her
She smiled "I miss it too" she said trying not to cry "Why don't try get some rest okay"
Connor laid back down

Sally went into the other room and called Adam
"Hey where did you disappear to" Adam answered
"Okay don't panic"she said
"Well when you start a sentence like that I'm going to panic" he told her
"Connor called me, he is okay he is just sick and didn't want to bother you" she told him
"I'm on my way" he said then hung up

Sally was staring at the window when Adam rushed in
"Where is he"he asked her
She pointed over to him sleeping on the couch. Adam went over to him
"Hey Buddy, I heard you aren't feeling good"
"Hey Dad" he said all groggy
"What doesn't feel good" he asked
"My stomach" Connor said
"Why didn't you call me"Adam asked "I told you, you could"
"I'm sorry I didn't want to ruin the night for you"
"You could never Connor" he rubbed his head "Come on let's get you into bed"he said as he helped him up
A few minutes later Adam came up came out of the room, he looked at Sally who was sitting on the couch, he plopped down next to her
"Thanks for going to get him" he looked over at her
"Like I told him, I would do anything for him" Sally took his hand "He did ask why we broke up"she told him
"Oh boy" he sighed "What did he have to say" he asked
"He heard Victor say things"she told him
"Oh man" he said as he leaned his head in his hands
"I know" she said as she rubbed his back "He said he also missed me hanging out here"
Adam looked up and took her hand and kissed it "That means two of us"
"I have to go to Chicago"she said as she rested her head in his lap
"I'll miss you" he said
"Oh how much" she looked up at him
"Why don't I show you" he said as he lowered them down on the couch, while kissing her
"Adam ,Connor" she said as she pulled back
"We will be super quiet"he told her as he was removing her dress

They were laying there on the couch. Adam was holding her
"If I get that because you'll miss you , I can't wait to see what you do to top that because you love me"she looked back at him
"Oh is that a challenge" he said as he was placing kisses on her back
"If you choose to accept it" she giggled
He turned her to face him "Oh I accept it"he kissed her with so much passion

It was getting late, Adam helped Sally with her coat
"Thanks again for helping Connor" he said
"Anytime, please let me know how is feeling" she said
"Will do" he said and kissed her cheek
"I leave Sunday, so I'll see you when I get back"
"Text me to let know you go there safely"
"You know I will"she pulled him into a kiss then left
