A Love Like Ours Never Ends

"I know me breaking up with you hurt, because it hurt me too"

      Adam and Sally were still standing in the same spot. Both afraid to speak first.
"So you need to talk to me"Adam said
"Yes, but I can wait since you needed to tell me something first"she told him
"No, I want you to go first" he said
Sally nodded and walked over to the couch. Adam followed her
"It's been hard the past few weeks for me. I know me breaking up with you hurt, because it hurt me too" she started crying
Adam took her hands " We can fix that"
"I can't Adam as much as I want to" she looked down "But there is something you should know"she said
"I'm listening"
Sally got up and went to her purse "For the past couple weeks I haven't been myself and I thought it was because of the break up and the stress from the reason I did it"she paused "But after this morning I had a feeling it because of something else"
"Sally are you sick?"Adam panicked and quickly went over to her side
Sally didn't answer she pulled out a pregnancy test
"Sal, are you?"he asked
"I don't know"she looked up at him "I haven't taken it yet" she said "I promise you this isn't the reason I ended things" she started crying
Adam pulled into a hug " I believe you" he said as he was rubbing her back
"I missed being in your arms so much" she softly
"I miss holding you" he said as held her tighter
They finally pulled away from each other. Adam took the test from her
"Come on" he said as he reached for her hand
"Where are we going" she asked
"We are going to go find out if we are having a baby"
She smiled and took his hand
They walked into the bedroom. Adam handed her the test back
"You go take this test, I'll wait right here and then you come back out and we'll wait together"
"Okay" she said softly
She went to leave and Adam pulled her back
"Wait" he said
"What is it?" She asked
Adam didn't say anything he just kissed her "A kiss for luck" he brushed her cheek with his thumb "I love you"
" I love you too" she said and went into the bathroom

A few minutes later Sally came out and just stood in the doorway.Adam held out his arm for her to come sit with him on the bed
Sally went over to him and sat next to him " You know if I could change one thing it would be to never come up with trying to buy Newman Media"
"Sally we can stop this plan. The company doesn't matter me"
" i just don't want anything else to be taken from you, because you don't deserve that Adam"
Adam wiped her her tears away "I love you for that. All I need to be happy is you and Connor and if you're pregnant..this baby"he pulled her closer
Sally rested her head on his shoulder "I'm so sorry" her voice broke
"For what" he looked at her
Before she could answer the timer went off. They both looked at each other
Sally took a deep breath "Here goes nothing"she got off the bed
Adam grabbed her hand "We are doing this together" he told her
Sally squeezed his hand and lead him into the bathroom
"Do you want me to look" Adam asked
Sally nodded
Adam went to pick it up. But Sally stopped him
"Wait" she said
"What is it, what's wrong?"he asked
"Nothing is wrong, but before we look. I want us to discuss how we feel about this" she walked over and sat on the edge of the bathtub "I know it's silly considering I might already be pregnant"
"No it's not" he walked over to her "Would you like me to go first?" He asked
Sally nodded
Adam bent down in front of her " If the test is positive. I will be over the moon"he smiled at her
"Really because when we were together we never discussed kids" she said
" I know we haven't" he placed his hands on her knees "But I have imagined what it would be like"
"You have?" She was surprised
"Yes" he smiled "Every time I watched you with Connor you are so good with him. I thought about what you would be like with our own baby" he kissed her knees
Sally just smile at him
"Now it's your turn, tell me how you feel"
"Just so you know. I have thought about it too, but I was never that girl who played mommy or dreamt about it"she said " I don't know if it has anything to do with helping to raise my sister Coco" she looked down
" That is perfectly okay Sally" he said as he was rubbing her thigh
"And now that I might be pregnant and it's your baby"she looked up at him "I want it.. I want it so bad"
Adam pulled her into a hug " We'll there is only one way to find out"he pulled away "You ready"he said softly
Sally nodded "Yes"
Adam stood up and helped Sally up. They both walked over to the counter and looked down at the test
Sally started crying Adam was concerned about her sudden emotion
"Are you okay"he asked as he was rubbing circles on her back
"Yes, seeing these results" Sally couldn't finish her sentence
Adam turned her to face him "Sally it's okay"he said
"I know" she said as picked up the test
Adam wrapped his arms around her from behind and placed his chin on her shoulder "We are having a baby" he whispered in her ear and placed his hands on her stomach
Sally let out a little laugh and leaned into him "Yes we are"she said
"I believe we need to celebrate" he said as he kissed her cheek
"Oh and how do you suppose we do that" she said as she placed her hand on her cheek
Adam turned her around he leaned down and kissed her "The same "kiss " way" kiss. "we made" kiss again "this baby"
Sally wrapped her arms around him " That's a really good way"she said
"I thought so too" he picked her up her and carried her to the bed
He looked at her in the eyes as he hovered over her
Sally grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him to her lips. Adam placed his hands on her waist and deepened the kiss
Adam then moved in between her legs and started unbuttoning her shirt. Adam started leaving a trail on kisses down her body. He moved away and just brushed his fingertips along her stomach and looked at lovingly
"What" she said as she giggled
Adam looked at her "Our baby is in there" he said
Sally smiled at him "Our baby" she said softly
Adam started placing kisses on her stomach and moving his way back up to her lips
They made love the rest of the night
