A Love Like Ours Never Ends

"Derek threatened my son and you hid it from me"

Sally got out of bed and came over and stood in front of Adam
"Sally what is gong on?"Adam asked
Sally looked at the phone "You see the phone rang and I was still a little sleepy so I reached for it, thinking it was mine. I thought it was the doctors calling me back. To my surprise it was was your phone" she fidgeted with it "I was shocked to hear Tucker McCall on the other end"she looked down
"Sally, I can explain" Adam said holding up his hands
"Oh can you. Can you explain to me why Tucker told me that it was go with him stepping in to steal Newman Media" she shouted and threw his phone at him
Adam moved closer to her "I didn't want you find this way, I was gonna tell when things were final"
"Oh you were"she sighed "Do you realize what you just did. I told you last night, I was stopping this whole thing. And now you did this"
"I did this before you told me you were ending this whole thing. I guess I forgot to call him"he told her
"You did this without discussing it with me"she said
"I know I'm sorry"
"Tell me why you did this, why did you do this behind my back"she said
Before Adam could answer,Sally bolted to the bathroom.She started throwing up, Adam was right behind her. He moved her hair out of her face. He was rubbing circles on her back
Once she was finished Sally moved back against the wall. Adam sat next to her and took her hand
"I'm sorry if I over stepped"Adam started speaking "I never thought need Tucker's help but he was the back up plan I had." he told her
"But why did you go to him"she asked
"After we found out Derek was working with my father. I had to protect you" he placed his hand on her stomach "And this baby"
Sally looked down and moved her knees up to her chest "All this started because I wanted to protect you too. I hated how your family treated you"she looked at him "And I wanted to help you some how"
"And I love you for that" he smiled at her
"But I was in over my head with it. I thought I could trust Derek because I knew him" she took a deep breath "If we are talking about protecting there is something you should know"she said
"Okay what is it" he asked
Just then her phone went off. Sally got up to answer it
"Hello"she said
"Hello is this Sally Spectra" someone said
"Yes it is"Sally said
"This is Angela from Dr Collins's office. We are returning your call to set up an appointment" she told her
"Yes,thanks I have been waiting for this call" Sally said
"It looks like she has Tuesday November 15th at 11:00 available. Does that work for you" she asked
"Yes, that's perfect, thank you"
"Alright sounds good, see you then"
Sally hung and turned to Adam
"We have an appointment on the 15th" she told him
Adam nodded and came up to her, he placed his hands on her waist "Can't wait" he smiled
"We get to see the baby" she said
"Yes" he kissed her forehead "Before the phone rang you were about to tell me something.. something about protection"he said
Sally got out of Adam's hold and went over and sat on the bed "Come sit with me" she patted next to her
Adam came over and sat with her
"There is something I haven't told you about Derek and why I decided to break it off with you"she said
"I don't think I'm going to like this"
Sally just rubbed her hand on his thigh
"No but I hope once you know the reason behind it you'll understand, and not make it worse"
"Okay go on" he told her
"You know about Derek and him wanting me. He wanted to go back to what we had.
"What you had"Adam was surprised
"You see before coming here. Derek and I had this fling. I was trying to escape from what happened in LA. And I guess he thought it was more. When I told him I didn't see him as a boyfriend that I never did" Sally looked away He got mad. And threatened with me something he know I would anything to protect"Sally said as she started crying
"What was it Sally"he asked
" I broke up with you, to protect you. Because if I didn't get involved with Derek he was gonna hurt someone that I love" she told him
"Hey" he wrapped his arm around her "You could have told me what was going on. We could have done something.. I could have taken him"
"I know you could" she gave a small smile "But you weren't the one he was after" she looked down " He said I didn't become his girlfriend he would hurt... Connor"she said
Adam was furious "Are you kidding me"he yell as he shot up "Why didn't tell me. I had a right to know Sally he is is my son"
"I know" she started crying harder "I'm sorry I thought I could take care of it on my own. I thought may be he would get bored and move on" she said coming over to him
Sally tried to grab him to pull him into her but he pulled away. She was a little hurt
"Derek threatened my son and you hid it from me"
"I know it was probably the wrong decision but Derek was my problem I brought him here to help. And it back fired me I know. But I did what I thought was best for all of us. I was protecting you and Connor the only way knew how" she placed her hand on his cheek " I love you and Connor"
Adam placed his hand over hers "We are a team Sally you should have told me"
"You're right I should have, but so should you about Tucker.. some team"
"This isn't the same thing Sally" he got annoyed
"How isn't it Adam.What I chose to do to protect you and Connor. As you did to protect me and this baby" she crossed her arms
"Speaking of baby,would we still be broken up if we didn't find out"
Sally sighed "I don't know Adam, but I'm so thankful we did. Because it was killing me going along with it"she cried
Adam pulled her into him and held her for a few minutes
"I'm sorry for getting angry with you"
"You had every right to Adam. I'm not his parent .. but I would do anything for him"
Adam wiped her tears away
"I see that now" he said
"What are we going to do now Adam. I'm afraid for what will happen once Derek finds out or worse Victor"
"I don't know, let me talk to Tucker, but I do know I don't want you to worry about any of this"he took her hands "All I want you to focus on is taking care of you and this baby,okay"
Sally nodded
Adam kissed her hands"You do know this means we need to keep us secret again or still be secretive if you think about it" he chuckled
