A Love Like Ours Never Ends

"Bean,you are going to see the world today"

Sally woke up to find Adam not next to her.She looked around
"Adam" she called out
As she scanned the room again she noticed Mazie and Haddie aren't in the room either. She got out of bed and went down stairs
Sally saw both Adam and Connor playing with the girls, she watched for a moment smiling
"How did you not wake me"she finally said
"Well good morning" Adam smiled "I have my secret skills"
"Sally, Mazie is starting to look like me" Connor said all excited
"Ya she is, isn't she" she said coming over to them. She kissed Connor's head as she passed by
Adam pulled her by her bathrobe over to him
"Thanks for letting me sleep in, but I feel bad since you had all the kids" she said
"Hey I'm Super Dad,I had everything under control" he smiled at her
Sally smiled then bent down kissed him. She then picked up Haddie "Good morning Bean"she said giving her tons of kisses
"Connor you can do play your video games now"Adam told him
"Cool, thanks"Connor said then ran off
Adam slid over to be in front of Mazie so Sally could sit with him
"Are you hungry"he asked her
"Not really"she told him "Did they eat"she asked
"Yes, our Mazie girl ate her whole bottle and Hadley ate probably about half" he informed her
"Alright you know how Haddie is sometimes she needs me"Sally smiled at her
"That I do"
Sally looked at them"They are getting so big"
Adam rested his chin on her shoulder and looked at them for a minute "You know by me letting you sleep in I didn't get my morning kiss" he pouted
"I just gave you a kiss"she look at him
"But it's not the same"he said
"Oh you poor baby"he teased him
Just then the phone rang Adam answered it
"Hello Adam Newman...yes thank you so much. We will see you soon"he said then hung up
"Who was that"Sally asked
"That was Dr. Brown Hadley's glasses are in"he told her
Sally got emotional "Really.. you mean Haddie is gonna be able to see"
Adam came over and kissed her "Yes we need to get going. I need to call Chelsea to come get Con"
Connor over hears him "Why is Mom coming"he asked
"Sally and I need to take Hadley to get her glasses, so Mom will come pick you up"
"But you and I were supposed to go to the batting cages"he said sounding disappointed
"I know and we will after"he told him
Connor nodded
"Why can't he just come with us" Sally asked
"Are you sure, it's not going to me overwhelming for her"Adam asked
"She's gonna be with people she knows. We should be the first people she sees clearly"
Adam nodded "You're right"he looked at Connor "Go get ready we leave in five"
Connor ran off
Sally smiled at Hadley "Bean you are going to see the world today"

They were in the doctors office, Adam was holding Haddie while Sally was rocking Mazie in her car seat. Connor was looking around the room
"How bad is Hadley's eyesight"he asked
"We are so sure, all we know is that it's blurry for her"Sally answered
"She doesn't have what I had" he asked a little worried
"At the moment no, but" Adam started to say
"But nothing"Sally stopped him "She's fine"she added
Adam sensed her nerves and nodded
Just then the doctor came in
"Well hello, thanks so much for coming in on such short notice. I just knew how eager you were for her to see"
"Of course" Adam said
"This must be her sister"she said looking at the car seat. Then looked over at Connor "And you must be the big brother" she smiled
Connor nodded
"Now Miss Hadley are you ready to really see your family. This is a big day" she said sitting in front of Adam
Sally rested her chin in her hand and look on
"Now this will be a big adjustment for her so if she's fussy let her be. Give her time to get comfortable herself"she told them
The doctor slid the glasses on Hadley and smile at her "What do you think"she said moving out of the way so Sally could see
Hadley started to move her head around and started crying
"Shh, it's okay"Adam said softly
Hadley leaned back and stopped crying and stared at Adam
"Hey can you see Daddy"he asked
Hadley gave a small smile
"Adam that was her first smile" Sally started crying
Sally came over to them and bent in front of them "Hey Bean"she said softly
Hadley looked at Sally and place her hand on Sally's face,causing Sally to laugh
Adam leaned into Haddie "That's Mommy it's she beautiful"Adam whispered
Connor walked up and waved
Hadley curled back into Adam
"All this excitement must have tired her out" the doctor said
"We can't thank you enough"Sally said
"My pleasure, we will check in every six month for now. If you have anymore concerns don't hesitate to call"

Later on Adam and Connor went to the batting cages, leaving Sally with the girls. She was in the middle of planning the wedding when the doorbell rang
Sally answered the door "Hey Chloe what brings you by" she asked
"With it being Adam's day off, I wanted to drop this off"she handed the mail to her
"Okay , we could have just gotten it tomorrow"she told her
"Wait we, I thought you decided you want to stay home"Chloe asked
"That's what I thought too but after the first couple weeks after Adam was at work.."
"You missed the joy it brought you"
"Something like that. Do you want to come in for a little bit" she asked
"Sure"Chloe smiled
Sally closed the door and placed the mail on the table
"So I take it the girls are sleeping
"Yes, it was a big day for us"she told her
"Why is that" she asked
Sally smiled "Hadley finally got her glasses"
"What that's amazing, so can you tell if she can see"
"It's seems like it, she smiled for the first.. at Adam"Sally started crying "It was probably my top moments"
"Aw" she hugged her "I'm so happy for you"
"Thanks" Sally said
"You okay" Chloe asked
"Ya,you know watching her see the world like actually see it, it's a little overwhelming"
"I understand"
"You should have seen it Chloe, when she saw Adam for the first time .. her face lite up"
Chloe hugged her again, then pulled away
"I see you're planning the wedding"Chloe said
"Ya, even though we are eloping kind of it's a lot to plan" Sally chuckled
"Here let me help you, I have had a few wedding I know a few things about planning" she sat down

Later that night Adam came home to find Sally holding Haddie showing her around the house
"Giving her a proper tour I see"Adam came up and kissed them
"She's has been taking everything in, it was tough getting her down for her nap she just kept looking around her room. She's like a brand new baby"Sally giggled
"Nah"he took her from Sally "She's still our Hadley"he said kissing her nose
Mazie started crying
"I'll be back"Sally said running to her
Adam saw the mail "What's this" he hollered at her
"Chloe brought it by, even though we would be in tomorrow"she yelled back
"Hadley would you like to see the first boring thing in your life"he chuckled
Adam was shocked at what he was reading,Sally came back
"What's up" she asked
"Oh it's nothing, it's just a letter from the banquet hall for the event later this month" he told her
"I wonder why Chloe brought by"she asked confused
"Who knows with her, it's Chloe" he kissed her on the forehead "Your Aunt Chloe is cr-a-zy" he told the girls
"Adam stop" Sally laughed and playfully hit him
"Let me see Haddie, I'll go feed them before we eat. Can you se the table for us" she asked him
"On it" he said handing her Hadley
Once Sally was out of sight, Adam read the letter again. Once he finished he put it in a drawer so Sally didn't see it
