A Love Like Ours Never Ends

"I have never seen him as in love as he is with you Sally"

Adam and Sally arrived back at Chelsea's, Sally was giving Mazie and Hadley a bunch of kisses
"Mommy loves you so much" she said as she was hugging them
Adam loved watching her with their girls, it pained him knowing she was never shown that love as a child
Chelsea came in with water for them "So how did it go"she asked
"Let's just say I'm better off without her" Sally said looking at the girls
"I'm sorry" she gave her a sympathetic smile
"How were they for you, I hope Mazie wasn't fussy"Adam asked
"She was good, they both were"she told them "You two have some perfect girls"she added
"Thanks, we did get lucky"she smiled at Adam
"Chels, how was Connor"Adam asked
"He was okay,been in his room most of the time though" she told him
Adam went over and kissed Sally's head "I'm going to go talk to him"
Chelsea looked a little confused

Adam knocked on the door "Con, it's Dad can I come in"he asked
"Sure" he answered
Adam opened the door he went over and sat in the bed "I need to talk to you about something, I realize now you overheard something other day, about me and Sally" he said
Connor looked over at him
"I know what you must think is possibly happening, but I'm here to tell you it's not me and Sally aren't breaking up"
"But you had fight, and she was mad, and I heard you say she doesn't think she can marry you"
Adam sat a little closer "I know how much you love Sally and you were probably afraid to show how much you love this morning,because all you thought about was how she might not be apart of the family anymore" he said
Connor nodded "I'm sorry, for not asking first"
"Hey there's nothing to be sorry for. I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told Sally today. It's okay to express how you are feeling"he said
"I like our life now and I don't want it to change"Connor told him
Adam hugged him "I understand and I don't either.

Chelsea and Sally were in the other room. The girls were moving all over Sally
"Look Chelsea I owe you an apology"Sally said calming the girls
"For what"she asked
"For assuming you and Adam .."she started to say Chelsea stopped her
""Don't worry about it"she smiled
"It still wasn't right, I should have known Adam wouldn't do that"she picked up Hadley and hugged her "But knowing what he was up to now"
"He loves you"Chelsea touched her hand "Take it from someone who was lucky to be loved by him, I have never seen him as in love as he is with you Sally"
Sally was crying
"All he wanted to do was protect you"she said
Adam and Connor came out of the room. Adam's hands were placed on Connor's shoulders. Adam gesture Chelsea to take the girls, she took Haddie from Sally as Adam came over and picked up Mazie
Connor walked over to Sally " I owe an apology Sally, about how I acted this morning. I was scared you weren't gonna be apart of the family anymore" he said looking down
"Come here"Sally patted the spot next to her
Connor sat down
"I know what made you think that's what was happening, I'm sorry for playing a part of your fears" she leaned in and took his hand "I'm not going anywhere and even if I did, like last time I'm always be there for you. You Connor Newman are one of the most special people in my life"she smiled at him
Connor smiled back and hugged Sally
Adam and Chelsea came back in
"We should get the girls home Sal"Adam told her "It's been a long day for all of us" he added
"Ya" she said still holding Connor. Sally got up and took Hadley from Chelsea
"Can I come stay the night " Connor asked
"Oh Connor we would love that but it's your Mom's time with you"Sally told him
"Oh no it's fine with me"Chelsea said
Adam gesture for him to his this, Connor ran off
"Are you sure Chelsea, I feel bad" Sally said
"Sally, you know Connor by now,he feels bad about how he asked towards you, and you can tell him everything is fine and even if it is for him to accept it he needs to see it"Chelsea said
Sally nodded

Later on they were all swimming and laughing.Adam was splashing Connor who tried hiding behind Sally
"She's not gonna save you"Adam teased him and pulling Sally towards him, causing her to squeal. He held her tight from behind and kissed her cheek
Just then the baby monitor went off
"Oh I'm saved by Haddie" she said giggling and getting out of Adam's hold
"Can I come help, to get away from him" Connor asked
"Sure" Sally answered as she was getting out
Adam acted hurt "You two are just going to leave me here"
Both Sally and Connor stuck their tongues out at him
"Oh real mature" Adam splashed them
"Suffer" she chuckled "Besides you need to go pick up dinner" she said leaving

Adam walked into Society when he saw Victor
"Hey Pops"he said siting down on the stool
Victor looked over "Hey son, how is it going" he asked
"Good" Adam said he then thought of something "Hey Dad can I ask for a small favor" he said
"What's up" he asked
"Recently Sally's Mom came into the picture and we just met with her."he took a deep breath "I would it of your team could keep tabs on her. I just have this bad feeling"he said
"About Sally, I told you son.. she was bad news"he said
"No not with Sally Dad come on. I'm asking for Sally I have this bad feeling about her mom. Sally told her to not come back, but I don't think she'll listen. I'm just trying to protect my family, the same way you would"he took a sip of his scotch "With the wedding next week I don't want us to worry about it"
Victor could tell how serious his son was about this "Sure, call it my wedding present"he said
"Gee thanks" Adam chucked

Sally was setting up for dinner, the girls were in their high chairs. When Connor came in
"Sally can ask you something" he said
Sally looked over "Sure come let's sit" she sat at the table
Connor came over "What were you and Dad arguing about that you didn't think you couldn't marry him" he asked
Sally wasn't expecting that "Oh wow wasn't expecting that" she said "Part of me thinks you're too young to hear this and the other part knows you can handle it"
"But you won't tell me" he said
"No, I will because we have always been honest with each" she sighed "You see my mom came back into my life and your dad kept it from me for a little while"she paused "But I jumped to conclusions and thought it was something else"
"Is she nice like you ... your mom" he asked
Sally smiled at him " I wish I could say she was but no.. but you don't need to worry about any of this grown up stuff okay" she smile "Me and your dad are getting married next week"
"Speaking of that" he said getting out his phone and playing music
"Connor what are you doing"she asked
"Mazie and Haddie need to practice dancing" he told her going over and picking up Mazie "Especially if they want dance better then Dad" he laughed
Sally got up and went and got Haddie. The four of them started dancing around the kitchen. Sally spun Connor and Mazie around and then spinning her and Hadley
"Are you all having fun without me"Adam said coming in
"Come join us"Sally said giggling
Adam started doing his usual dorky dance moves causing both Connor and Sally to start laughing harder
"See I told you they need to learn to dance better then what ever that is "Connor told Sally
Adam came up and took Mazie "Mazie Moo are my family making fun of Daddy" he said looking at her
"Only out of love Babe" Sally kissed him
