A Love Like Ours Never Ends

"It's Christmas Eve it's the time of miracles"

To Adam it felt like everything was happening in slow motion. The car that hit Sally sped away. But for Adam all he cared about in that moment was Sally. He quickly got out of his car and ran over to Connor who was screaming for Sally
"Connor"Adam  yelled as he made his way to him "Are you okay"he asked as he was checking him over
"Ya, ya I'm fine" he said as he hugged Adam "Dad,Sally"he cried
Adam looked over at the car "Connor I want you to go wait by my car"he told him looking back at Connor
"But Dad"he protested
"Go Connor I'm going to go check on her"he told him
Connor made his way over to the car. As Adam ran to Sally
"Sally.... Sally"he started screaming
Sally didn't answer
Adam was at the driver's side door "Baby help is on the way"he told an unconscious Sally
Adam was frantically looking for away to get her out
"A..da..m"Sally said in a shaky voice
"I'm right here"he said coming to the window
"Is Con..nor okay"she asked
Adam looked over at Connor "Ya he is okay"he told her
"I couldn't let him get hurt"she cried
Adam just looked at her "Are you hurt anywhere"he asked
"I don't know"she looked at him
"Okay"he caressed her cheek "Help is on the way Baby"he gave her a reassuring smile
Then it hit her "Adam the baby"she started crying
"Shh, everything is gonna be fine"he said  trying to keep her calm. He reached in to hold her hand

When the ambulance finally arrived along with the police. Adam explained. They got her out of the car. Adam had Connor ride with her so the paramedics could look him over.
"I'm going to follow you and Connor to the hospital"he kissed her head "I love you"

On the way to the hospital Adam called Chelsea to let her know what just happened
"Hey what is up"she asked
"Um Chelsea"Adam said trying not to cry
"Adam what is wrong?"she asked really worried
"Sally was just in a car accident. I'm following the ambulance now"
"Oh my God. Is Connor okay"
"Yes, he fine. Just meet us there"he told her
"I'm on my way"she said

The doctors looked over Connor. He was fine just a few scraps from the fall. Adam and him were waiting on the emergency room
Chelsea ran in "Oh my God Connor. Are you okay"she asked as she hugged him
"Ya, Sally saved me"he told her
Adam and Chelsea looked at each other
"How is Sally?"she asked still holding Connor
"The doctor"he pointed to the room "The doctors are with her now. Now that your here..."
"Go"Chelsea told him "Go be with her"

Adam walked into her room a nurse was with her. Sally had sense of relief when she saw Adam
"Adam"she reached for him
Adam came right over and took her hand. He kissed her head longer then he normally did "Oh Baby"he said softly
"How is she?" He asked the nurse
"Your.."she started saying
"Girlfriend"he told her
"Your girlfriend is really lucky. The worst of her her injuries is a concussion and a sprained wrist"
"Did you check the baby, they told you she's pregnant right?"
The nurse smiled "The doctor on call will be here in a minute to check for you"she told them and left
Adam pulled her into him "You have no idea what it was like to witness that"
"I don't want talk about that right now. Not until we know if our baby" she leaned her head on his chest "Oh God what if I lost our baby"she cried
Adam didn't want to even think about that possibility "Shh"he kissed her head "It's Christmas Eve it's the time of miracles" he said holding her
Just then Elena walked in
"Sally...Adam"she was shocked to see that she was the patient
"Yes.. it's us"Sally said lifting her head off Adam
"I'm sorry I just didn't expect to see anyone I know. So you are pregnant"she asked
"I hope I still am"Sally said trying not to cry
Adam took her hand and kissed it. He then was rubbing her hair
"Well I'll check everything for you"Elena gave her a reassuring smile
As Elena was looking everything over and searching for a heartbeat. Sally buried her head into Adam.

Derek made a call "I did what you asked I expect the money to get my car repaired"he hung up and took a sip of his beer

Sally had a death grip on Adam. Both of the praying to hear something. It was silent for what felt like an eternity. Then the sound was finally heard
"There it is"Elena said
"Oh thank God"Sally cried as she leaned her head back
"It's a Christmas miracle alright"Adam said as he pulled Sally in and kissed her
Elena froze for a second "Um did you guys know you were having ...twins"she informed them
"What"they both said at the same time
"I guess not"Elena gave a small laugh. She turned the screen to show them "See right here is Baby A and there is Baby B"she pointed to them
"And that baby is okay too"Sally asked
"Yes"Elena smiled and took her hand "Your babies are fine. You are really lucky"
"Thanks Elena"Adam said
"That's my job"she said "And Congratulations"she told them
    Once Elena left. Adam and Sally embraced. They were digesting the news they just got.
"I don't believe it"Adam said
"I don't either"Sally smiled and placed her hand on her stomach "And they are okay, oh Adam"she bursted into tears
Adam pulled her into a hug "Oh Baby it's okay. You ...are okay"he said
"We could have lost them. And one we didn't even know about"she said
"We didn't"he cupped her face "You and our babies are all ok."he told her "And so is Connor"he added
"I'm so sorry I told him to jump. I didn't know any other way"
"Hey..hey it's okay what you did saved him"he brushed her tears away
"Did they catch the person. Was it really Derek"
"We don't know yet if it was him.The police are looking for him. All I care about right now is you" he said and he sat next to her and held her.
He placed his hand on her stomach "I guess we have two nuggets in there"he smiled down
Sally smiled and placed her hand over his "I guess we do"she said laying her head on Adam
