A Love Like Ours Never Ends

"Sally .... think of the baby"

      The next morning Adam rolled over expecting Sally to still be laying beside him, but when he opened his eyes her side of the bed was empty. He looked over and saw her on her bench getting dressed
"What were you just going to sneak out, like last night was some one night stand"Adam said still a raspy voice
Sally looked back at him "I'm so sorry." She gave him a sad face " I didn't mean to wake you up"she said
"Well I'm glad I did" he sat up a little "How do you think I would have felt if I woke up to you gone" he said as he slide up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist "I would have been really disappointed because I wouldn't have been able to kiss you" he kissed her cheek
"Oh you poor baby"she said in a whiny voice "I really am sorry though" she turned to face him "But it's probably best if go"
"But why, it's not every day you find out your going to have a baby" he said as he tapped her nose
Sally giggled "Good point" she placed her hands on his shoulders and pushed him back on the bed and crawled on top of him and kissed him
Adam placed his hand on her cheek and deepened the kiss
"Mmm"Sally moaned as she pulled away "As much as I would love to stay .. I can't" she said as pushed herself off him
She grabbed her things and went to the door
"Sally" he called for her
"Yes"she said as she turned back to him
"You take care of that baby of ours"he smiled at her
Sally looked down and placed her hand on her flat stomach "Don't worry I will"she smiled at him

Sally was driving to work. She was in a good mood. She was so happy about this baby and that she found out with Adam. But reality sunk in when she saw Derek was calling
"I'm driving make it quick" she said as she answered
"Just checking in"he said
"Well it's the same as last night"she told him
"Good, so I won't be back until tomorrow night" he said
"Cool, see you than" she said then hung up on him
Sally took a deep breath "Its gonna be okay. Mommy is gonna end everything soon"she said out loud to the baby

Sally walked into her office and saw Chloe sitting on the couch waiting for her
"So you are alive"Chloe said
"Ya wouldn't I be"Sally said As she walked over to her desk
"Well I went by your suite and you weren't there and I tried calling you"Chloe told her
" Oh right sorry my phone died"Sally said
"So where were you"Chloe asked
"I was at a friends house" she told her as she looked through the mail
"Oh alright"Chloe said
Chloe came over to the desk. Just then Sally got really nauseous from Chloe's perfume
"Did ... we have a meeting"Sally said trying to ease the feeling
"No, I was just worried about my friend"Chloe told her
"Oh alright"she couldn't hold it anymore "Excuse me.. I need to be somewhere" she said as she was running out

     Adam walked into his father's house and found him in his study
"Hello son, what brings you by"Victor asked
"What were you doing last night with Derek Chambers"Adam asked
"That is none of your business"he told him
"You may be right. But I heard something and if whet I heard was true I will never forgive you"Adam said
"Oh is that so"Victor said as she crossed his arms
"If you hurt Sally in any way I'll cut ties with you so fast"Adam told him
"Why do you care about her if you aren't together"Victor asked
"She doesn't deserve this. If you care about, you won't do anything to hurt her"Adam said and left

Sally was in the park, she was leaning against the pillar when Adam came up to her
"Hey are you okay" he asked in concern and placed his hand on her back
Sally looked at him "Ya I'm okay now"she said and walked over to the bench "i just really nauseous from Chloe's perfume. So I thought the fresh air would help"
Adam came over to her and bent down "I'm sorry" he told her
"Don't be"she gave a small smile "It's all apart of" she stopped and looked around to see if anyone was around "This pregnancy thing"she whispered
"I'm afraid so, but I'm still sorry"he placed his hand on her knee
Sally had tears in her eyes "We need talk about what we are gonna do"she said
"What do you mean" he sat next to her
"We aren't together Adam"she told him
"Well that's an easy fix, we get back together"he said
"It's not that simple Adam. A lot is at stake"she told him
Adam gave her a look
Sally looked over "What is that look for"she asked
"We were distracted last night. That I never got to tell what I needed to"
"Oh right, what is going on"she asked
"Not here, follow me to your suite"he said as he got up
Sally grabbed her purse and follow    Adam

Sally opened the door, Adam walked in
"So what is it that you about something changing my mind"she said
"Right, I saw something last night that shocked me"
"What"
"Derek was having dinner with my father"
"That's impossible Adam, Derek is out of town"she told him
"Well he is lying to you because I definitely saw him last night. Something about it Sally it's doesn't sit right" Adam told her in a panicked voice
Sally took his hand and brought him over to the couch
"Adam I know when your father does something you go into this mode" she told him
"Sal, I think Derek is working with my father"
"No"she started shaking her head "No"
Adam pulled her into his arms "It's gonna be okay" he said as he was brushing her hair
"Adam this isn't good. If your father is behind this. Then he knows about us"
"No he doesn't it's all good"
Just then Sally's phone went off, she looked over at it
"It's okay you can it"he told her
"Speak of the devil"Sally said "Derek what is up"she said
"We need to meet"he told her
"I thought you weren't getting back until tomorrow night"she said as she looked over at Adam
"Well I got done early. So can you meet meet" his voice raised a little
"Can this wait I'm kind of in the middle of something"she told him
"No come NOW" he raised his voice
Sally got a little scared " I need to go" she told him
"You're not going alone"Adam got worried
"I will be fine. I'll go see what he wants"she said
"I don't like this Sally"Adam said
"We can't let him know we suspect something. You don't what he might do if he finds out"she said
"All the more reason for me to come with you Sally .... think of the baby" Adam said as he tried to stop her
"I am"she said as she kissed his cheek "Don't worry everything will be fine"she said and
Sally closed the door and took a deep breath "This is ending tonight"
