It was the afternoon. Roman and Virgil were sitting on their bed, cuddling. Roman gave Virgil kisses on the top of his head every few minutes or so. After some time, Roman decided to test the waters a bit

Roman move a kiss down to Virgil's neck. Virgil immediately noticed the change. Roman placed a few more on Virgil's neck. Virgil then left Roman's arms, confusing then worrying the older male. Virgil began to walk away, prompting Roman to follow him

{Roman}
Butterfly, what's wrong?

Virgil shook his head no, continuing to walk away

{Roman}
How can I help you? I'll comfort you and make you feel safe, I'll listen to whatever is troubling you

Virgil kept walking

{Roman}
Virgil please

Roman was now outstretching his arms, Virgil pushed Roman. The older male went back a few steps despite the fact that Roman is more stronger and heavier than Virgil. The push shocked both Virgil and Roman

{Roman}
Virgil, wai-

Virgil slamming the bathroom door behind him cut Roman off. The lock on the bathroom door was then used, so now Roman is standing alone

Roman went downstairs, starting to cry and think about what made Virgil upset. He then tried to take his mind off of it, hoping that him and Virgil can make up the following day

Roman ultimately decided to talk to someone about it in order to advance the plot instead of ignoring his feelings about what happened. He quickly wrote a note that said "At Janus's - R" so that Virgil knows where he is

Roman taped it to the back of the front door, grabbing any necessities like keys and his phone. He also went ahead and packed an overnight bag just in case. Roman left the house, driving to his friends Janus and Patton's apartment so he can talk about what happened earlier

Virgil meanwhile was still cooped up in his and Roman's bathroom. He checked the time, seeing it was almost 4:30 pm which meant it was beginning to get dark (for some reason). Virgil began to worry about Roman, starting to regret not telling him why he was upset

He was unaware that Roman was at Janus's place, even though Roman wrote a note he didn't text Virgil about it. Virgil started to cry as he thought about Roman leaving him, he then remembered that it is cold outside so his mind wandered into thinking that Roman was going to freeze

Virgil left the bathroom and got ready to go outside. He then saw the note from Roman on the back of the front door, easing his anxiety a bit since Roman wrote to him where he was going.

Virgil took off everything he needed to go outside, going back upstairs. He found all the things that reminded him of Roman and placed them on his side of their bed. Virgil then put on one of Roman's red hoodies which always carries a sweet scent of rose and cherry perfume, Roman's signature. He then laid down on his side of the bed, falling asleep with his boyfriends prized items

Meanwhile, Roman arrived at Janus and Patton's apartment. He knocked on the door, being met with Janus's disheveled state. His Forest Green Eyes peered down to see a bottle of wine clutched tightly in Janus's yellow gloved hand

<Janus>
What is it, Rodriguez? I haven't got all day

Roman rambled to Janus about what happened, he sped up as he recounted the events

<Janus>
~to himself~
Oh great, a therapy session
~resumes talking to Roman~
Fine, I'll let you drone on and on about your sob story for a half hour while I get drunk

Janus begrudgingly let Roman inside, bringing him over to the couch. Janus pulled up a chair, sitting across from Roman after getting himself another bottle of wine. Janus opened the bottle, using his teeth to get the cork out of the bottle. He then drank from it after spitting out the cork

<Janus>
Tell me what happened without rambling, I'm probably going to get drunk sometime during this so I need all the information I can get and remember before I become intoxicated

Roman nods, giving Janus a pen and paper from his bag so he can write down everything during the session. Roman then started, recounting the events slowly so that Janus can write it down

Eventually, Janus was done writing what happened and was almost drunk. Patton then came home, seeing his husband on the verge of intoxication and Roman looking guilty on the couch

Patton asked what happened, Janus gave him the paper of notes which provided context on why Roman was at their apartment. After reading what Janus wrote, Patton gave Roman a great big bear hug to help comfort his friend

Roman hugged Patton back, starting to cry. Patton asked Janus to get Roman a glass of water, which Janus reluctantly did. Roman drank the water after Janus set the glass on the coffee table, beginning to wipe away his tears

{Roman}
Should I go back home? But I don't want Virgil to be more upset at me

(Patton)
You can comfort him and apologize for overstepping his boundaries, Roman. He'd appreciate that and trust you again if you do it

<Janus>
Or you can stay here and wallow in your misery, I recommend doing it by drinking. Bottoms up!

Janus says, then tried to drink from his bottle only to find it empty. He dramatically fell out of his chair and cried into the carpet, sad about his bottle being empty

{Roman}
Is he drunk now?

(Patton)
Looks like it, kiddo. Return to your house, I can help JJ get back to his normal self

Roman nods, packing his things then waved goodbye to Patton. He then drove to his house

{Roman}
Virgil, I'm back home

Roman didn't hear Virgils footsteps so he assumed that Virgil was still in the bathroom. He made himself a quick dinner then took a shower in the guest bathroom

Once dressed for bed, Roman went to his room to see an asleep Virgil holding onto objects in their bed. Roman went closer, starting to recognize the items as his

Virgil was wearing one of his hoodies to keep himself warm. In his hands were Roman's theater degree, a picture from their first date, a bottle of rose and cherry perfume, and Roman's prized red letterman jacket which he wore practically everywhere

Roman smiled a bit after seeing Virgil sleeping while holding some of his treasured items. Then he found extra blankets and pillows, bringing them downstairs so that he can sleep on the couch. Roman knew that sometimes Virgil needed space when he was upset which is why Roman is sleeping on the couch tonight

Roman removed some cushions so that he can pull out a bed from the couch. Roman set up the bed afterwards using the extra blankets and pillows. He turned off all the lights downstairs before going to sleep

In the morning, Roman woke up to the smell of tea coming from the kitchen. His eyes slowly adjusted to see Virgil sitting on the counter while waiting for a red and gold mug to finish steeping some tea. Once finished, Virgil squeezed in lemon juice and added honey then mixed it

Virgil blew on the mug a few times so that it isn't very hot. He then began to walk to the living room, now seeing that Roman was awake. He quickly put down the mug on the coffee table, about to go back upstairs when Roman got up and cautiously took his hand

I'm sorry about what happened yesterday

No it's-

{Roman}
It's all my fault, I didn't know that I overstepped your boundaries while we were cuddling. I won't do it again

¥Virgil¥
It's also mine, I didn't tell you about my boundaries which made you confused and worried when I went into the bathroom. Seeing the note that was taped to the back of the front door told me where you were. It made me ease up a bit even though I thought you left me or froze because it's cold outside. Then I got stuff that reminded me of you and went to sleep, why didn't you join me?

{Roman}
I was worried that you'd get more upset with me, and I know that sometimes you need your own space whenever you're upset so that's why I slept on the couch last night

Virgil nods, then hugged Roman. Roman smiled and hugged his boyfriend back
