Prinxiety Oneshots 3

-Garden-

Virgil woke up to an empty bed, not seeing his husband Roman next to him. He got up and started to walk around the Underworld castle. Logan has retired to his own quarters as did all of the ghostly servants so Virgil was alone

He walked down a series of darkly lit hallways until he saw a small light coming from the barely cracked open door to his garden. Virgil carefully opened it more to the hallway, seeing the familiar asphodel petals covering the ground and a pomegranate tree in the middle. Jeweled walls reflected the light from ornate lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Flowers sacred to both Virgil and Roman grew all over the garden in their own flowerpots

Near the pomegranate tree was Roman, his red silk robe also shined off the lantern light. His back was turned toward Virgil so he didn't get a good look at his husband. However, Virgil could hear a small whimpering sound, as if Roman was crying. Virgil quietly went to his husband so that he could console him

Ro, what's wrong? You're never out and about the castle unless you're really upset

{Roman}
I don't want you to leave in 3 days, what are we going to do with your father if he still desires to keep you up for the entire year above like a prisoner all because of Climate Change

¥Virgil¥
Remus said that he'll give my father a harsher sentence if he does still harbor that want. We'll talk to him again if my father does still intend to keep me in the Overworld for the entire year

{Roman}
But what if he manages to weasel his way out? My brother said to your father that he has to learn to let you live your life, not mold you on what he desires. Your life includes me, even if we must be separated for half the year. I'm just scared of losing you to your father

It'll be okay, I promise that you're not going to lose me. We'll make the most of these 3 days together

Roman turned around to face Virgil, he hugged his husband tight. Virgil hugged Roman back, running his fingers through Romans hair to continue consoling his husband. Roman also focused the scents of Virgil's garden to help calm him down, especially the tartness of pomegranates and the sweet honey like asphodel

Eventually, Roman was calmed down. Virgil led them back to their room, knowing that Roman would greatly appreciate cuddles especially after he was upset. Virgil and Roman laid down in bed, Roman's arms instantly outstretched so that they could hold Virgil. Virgil waited until Roman fell back asleep then he kissed his husbands cheek. Virgil then settled into sleep as well for the night
