Apologies for not posting for so long. There was major writers block and school in the way, especially after the end of the Authors 1st semester. Please forgive them if this happens again until June. They feel bad about neglecting you all, their readers

And done! My mixtape for my boyfriend Virgil is complete! He'll be so happy when I give it to him at school tomorrow! My entire body shakes and feels glittery with excitement. I quickly label it "Virgil's Mix Vol.1" in Sharpie followed by a heart in red Sharpie

Thankfully, doing research at the school's library helped me curate the song choices. I found lots of Green Day, mixed with Nirvana, and little bits of Yellowcard and Jimmy Eat World. I was very confident that Virgil would love it, slipping it into my red backpack before going to bed

In the morning, I excitedly drive my red Audi A4 to school. My red varsity jacket blows in the wind as I get out and go over to Virgil, seeing his signature black and purple flannel over a black t-shirt, and black beanie over his dyed purple hair. Black converse are on his feet. I excitedly wave to Virgil, who gives me a sarcastic smirk

I pull out the mixtape from my backpack, Virgil genuinely looks excited despite his sarcastic front

Yeah, my brother had those songs on cassette but I knew you love them so I thought to make you a mixtape instead of burning out your Walkman battery switching tapes

Virgil shyly smiles, giving me a kiss on the cheek then headed inside school. I instantly blushed, having a lovesick smile on my face for the rest of the day
