Being informed of your newest case, you set off to a moderately sized house with a greenhouse. That home belonged to your victim, a man named Roman Rodriguez. Per the case file, Roman was aged 25, had brown hair and green eyes, and notably was recently widowed after his beloved husband Virgil unexpectedly passed away 6 months prior

Arriving to the scene of the crime, there was Romans body lying on the floor of his greenhouse. He was stabbed, a pair of gardening shears stuck out of his chest. It was unusual but a weapon is a weapon. Blood stained his white dress shirt, coincidentally being the same shade as his red suit jacket and pants. Looking at the body, you noticed that Roman's wedding ring was missing and jot it down in your notebook

Roman's body was placed in a body bag so that it can get shipped off to the coroner. Now to find any clues at the crime scene. On a table was a cake server, it had light blue frosting and a fingerprint. You take out a glove and place the server in a bag so that it can be examined without it being contaminated

Running the fingerprint through the fingerprint archives, it matched to a Patton Black so you called him to the station. He was wearing a light blue jacket with a paisley pattern and a grey pocket square. Framing his blue eyes was a pair of glasses

Pardon me, Mr Black, I would like to ask you some questions about Roman Rodriguez. He has been found murdered

(Patton)
Good heavens! Roman is dead?! I only saw him just this morning! Oh, that poor man has suffered nothing but misery since his husband Virgil died, and now this!

You
How were the two of you acquainted?

(Patton)
Roman and I have been close friends for many years. Since his husbands death, he'd been very unhappy and in a bad way, naturally. He's been seeing the doctor nearly twice a week! All I could do was be there for him in any way I could. I never thought it would end up like this!

You
I am deeply sorry for the loss of your friend, Mr Black. If you think of anything that could help catch his killer, please let us know

You send Mr Black off, now starting to wonder what to do next. Mr Black mentioned that Roman went to the doctors twice a week, so you should go there!

Arriving at the doctors office, you find a leather satchel on the floor and a jar of medicine on the chair. You take the clues back to the station so that you can examine them further. Searching through the satchel, you find a torn up card so you tape it together. The card read Mourn no more, for you shall soon join your beloved in a fancy font. The words could be a quote of some sort so you take it to the stations historian/archivist so that they can examine the card

Moving onto the medicine jar, the label was faded so you dust it. It revealed a heavy dosage of laudanum, being prescribed by Doctor Logan Jones. You go back to Doctor Jones's office so that you can talk to him about Roman's medication. Logan was wearing a lab coat, a black and dark blue striped tie, a stethoscope around his neck, and a paisley handkerchief in his lab coat pocket. Framing his dark brown eyes was a pair of glasses

You
Doctor Jones, I presume? I'd like to ask you about one of your patients, Roman Rodriguez

[Logan]
I will assist your inquiries to the best of my ability, but confidently will limit what I can talk about, naturally

You
I'm afraid that those rules don't apply, Dr Jones. Roman Rodriguez has been murdered

[Logan]
Murdered! How horrible! Truly devilish tidings!

You
I understand that Roman made frequent appointments with you as of late, it appears that you were prescribing him a rather aggressive dosage of laudanum
