Virgil turned to his son so that Remy could see his outfit. He was wearing a black long sleeved shirt with shoulder cutouts and finger holes, black leggings with purple boots, and purple accessories. He had purple painted nails, his wedding ring, and a necklace with a purple butterfly pendant

Dad will go head over heels for you

Perfect. Dad will always find a way to turn red over my outfits

Remy and Virgil laughed, Virgil waited for his husband in the living room. Meanwhile, Roman was indecisive over his outfit so Violet was helping him

Roman stepped out in a myriad of clothing, until he presented a simple but elegant look. He had on a white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and 3 buttons undone. He wore red suspenders over that which was connected to a pair of black pants. Red semi-formal shoes were on his feet, a watch was around his wrist and his wedding ring was on his finger

How about this? Too simple maybe?

Dad, you and Papa aren't going someplace extremely fancy. This is good for tonight

{Roman}
You sure?

|Violet|
Yeah, get out there already! Papa is waiting for you, being late is a sign of an improper gentleman

Roman chuckled, knowing that Violet is currently in her "fancy princess phase" as any 6 year old may have while growing up. Roman listened to his daughter, leaving the closet for the living room to see Virgil

Just as Virgil predicted, Roman instantly turned red. Virgil laughed as he came over to his husband, giving him a hug. Roman hugged Virgil back, smiling brightly at him. The doorbell ringing broke the couple apart, revealing Violet and Remy's babysitter for the night: Janus, Roman and Virgil's oldest friend who didn't sign up to babysit. He would much rather be at home listening to jazz while getting utterly drunk instead of being on babysitting duty

<Janus>
Please tell me I can back out of this

{Roman}
Nope. You're babysitting whether you like it or not

<Janus>
Can't your children take care of themselves?

Violets 6, both kids can't cook dinner for themselves, and our normal babysitter is out of town

Janus reluctantly sighed, walking inside the house. Roman and Virgil said goodbye to Remy and Violet, starting to go on their date

Roman and Virgil had a casual but nice dinner out at a restaurant, then they went stargazing on top of a small hill at a park. Roman and Virgil eventually returned home, seeing Janus asleep on a couch with a flask in his gloved hand. They checked Remy and Violets rooms, seeing both kids asleep

Roman and Virgil helped Janus get home safely, then got ready for bed themselves. Roman laid down in bed, followed by Virgil. Virgil laid his head on Romans heart, falling asleep first. Roman smiled, giving Virgil kisses on the top of his head then fell asleep as well
