Calum:

* You meet in a club *

* Y/N stands for your name *

I pushed my way through the swarms of people congregated on the dance floor.

They moved in sync, like a group of backing dancers, all moving as one, to the beat of the song.

All I needed was a drink.

I finally reached the bar and leant my arms against the cool wood.

I crossed my legs at the ankles and leaned against the bar top, my hands clasped together.

I awaited the return of the bar tender to the end of the bar I was stood at.

I'd just have one more drink and then I was leaving.

I don't know how I'd even persuaded myself to come back to the bar right now.

I'd planned on leaving after that last drink, but had gravitated towards the bar as I went to leave.

I felt the presence of someone beside me and shifted my gaze from my hands to the person.

And that's when I spotted her, just a little way down the bar.

She was imitating my stance as she stood, her elbows leaned against the bar top, hands clasped together as she ordered her drink.

I trailed my eyes down her body, and noticed her feet, however, were not like mine.

She stood, her hips pushed back slightly, so her ass stuck out in the air.

Her hips moved in time to the music.

I grinned, and began to slide myself down the bar top, so I stood beside her.

"Hey," I breathed.

She was beautiful.

And I'd never been more nervous to talk to a girl.

"Hi," she smiled, turning to face me.

"I just... Er," I said, laughing nervously.

I scratched the back of my neck, my gaze travelling down to land on her feet.

She giggled, as she suddenly picked up on my nerves.

Shit, even her giggle was cute!

I was in deep.

"Er.... Would you maybe wanna.... I dunno.... Go out, like with me?" I asked.

I chanced a glance back up at her to catch her smile.

"Yeah, I'd like that," she answered.

"Great," I gushed, beaming with glee.

I coughed, clearing my throat and immediately regretted how eager I'd just sounded.

"So mystery date, do I get a name now or do I have to wait till our date?" she teased.

She pushed herself up to a standing position, her drink gripped in her small hands, and she took a sip, waiting for my answer.

"Well, I guess I'll have to make you wait," I advised, smirking.

The bar tender moved towards me and I ordered, whilst she stared at me.

I knew she was looking, but I wasn't giving her the satisfaction of looking back.

Plus, I was liking the fact she was looking.

"Hmm, I guess I'll just have to refer to you as anonymous date," she announced. "But you should know, I have a lot of them and they never end well."

I smirked, but again refused to look back.

I heard her sip her drink again, followed by heels clicking as she walked away.

I snapped my head around and sure enough she had gone.

Shit!

I'd gone for teasing and ended up losing her without getting her name or giving her mine.

"Here you go," the bar tender said, sliding my drink across to me.

I grabbed it, thanking him and left the money on the counter, before taking off walking quickly to find her.

Could she have left already?

Fuck, I didn't want her to leave.

My eyes moved back and forth, like I was at a tennis match, as I searched the crowds of people for her.

She wasn't anywhere to be seen.

I raced back to the bar, chugged down my drink, wiped my mouth with the back of my hand and scanned the bar.

She wasn't there either.

The bar tender from before had moved back to the other end of the bar, so I took the opportunity to stand atop the bar.

I looked back and forth, until I spotted her near a table, alone.

I grinned as I jumped down and raced to where she was stood.

"Hey, why'd you leave?" I questioned.

She turned at the sound of my voice, a grin on her lips.

"What, do I not get a name?" she teased.

I held out my hand, and she took it in hers.

She began to shake, but I had other ideas.

I pulled it to my lips and planted a soft kiss to the back of her hand.

She gasped, which only made me smile.

"I'm Calum by the way," I finally confirmed.

"I'm Y/N," she replied, a smile appearing.

Y/N. Even her name was beautiful.

"Do you wanna swap numbers then?" she asked sweetly.

I nodded, handed her my phone and took hers.

We swapped numbers and parted ways. The grin spreading across my face was instant and I couldn't wait for our date.

Was it totally weird to text her straight away?
