YOU
The day before the wedding had arrived and I was still trying to find the perfect bridesmaid's dress. I had found a range of little numbers that I thought would be perfect, but with Georgia's taste being completely different to mine, we hadn't managed to agree.
"Why don't we just get two separate dresses," Georgia huffed as she scanned the racks of dresses.
"Because it wouldn't look right," I told her. "We could get different colours, but different styles would look odd."
"What about this one?" Hope said.
Hope was Hanna's best friend and maid of honour and I was sure glad she was here. She had similar ideas to me and I knew we'd get on well. She held up a shell pink floor length dress, with a V-neck and thin straps over the shoulders. The waist of the dress was bunched up a little and the rest puffed out in a beautiful flow. Georgia scrunched up her nose in disgust and shook her head.
"It's far too plain!" she gasped. "There's no sequins or glitter or diamonds."
She tilted her head a little.
"And it's too long." She reached down to touch her fingertips to the middle of her thighs. "This length is more suitable."
I shared a glance with Hope and we both smirked, the thoughts we had similar. We both agreed that Georgia's choices weren't suitable at all and that Hanna would dislike any of her choices.
"Why don't I give Hanna a call," I suggested.
"That's a great idea," Hope agreed.
"What, why would you need to call her?" Georgia asked.
"Because seeing as its her wedding," I took the dress from Georgia's hands and put it back on the rack. "I think she should have the final say in what we wear."
Georgia growled and stomped away.
"She won't like anything I chose," she called over her shoulder.
Hanna answered immediately and as I explained to her what had happened she asked me to send a picture of the dress Hope had chosen. She fell in love immediately with the style of the dress but was a little disagreeable about the colour. She decided that she wanted a more powder blue coloured dress or even pale yellow. So the search was once again on!
"Okay, we have 3 hours until the stores close. We should split up to find the dress," I ordered.
Hope nodded and raced off to find the perfect dress. I turned and walked in the opposite direction. Finding something as simple as a dress was proving harder than I originally thought it would be. I really should have looked for a dress weeks ago rather than 24 hours before the big day!
