YOU

I'd seen Ashton stand and I could tell he was struggling for breath. He was panting, hunched over the table and I wanted to run to him. I wanted to follow him out but Liam had gone with him. Liam still hadn't told me who my mystery date was. He hadn't really spoken to me at all.

I kept my eyes on the door, waiting for him to walk back in. I expected to see him come back, arm slung over Liam's shoulders with big grins on their faces. But I was sadly mistaken. Ashton walked in with a sullen look on his face. Liam had his arm over Ashton's shoulders and when Ashton took a seat, Liam patted his back with a sad smile and went to his seat.

Calum leaned over to whisper in his ear, but Ashton waved him off and took a swig of his drink. I sighed. I wanted to help him. What was I missing? He seemed fine yesterday when I'd seen him. A shiver ran down my spine when I thought of our little encounter yesterday.

He'd been stood so close, his breath fanning across my neck and his lips so close to the shell of my ear. I'd wanted to touch him so badly. I'd wanted to taste his pink lips. But I'd stopped myself. Now though, I was more eager to touch him.

I began to stand from my seat, ready to march over there and demand he tell me what that was all about. But as I touched the table, my ass hovered over the seat mid stand, the wedding music began to play and my sister, hand in hand with Joe, walked through the doors.

Everyone cheered and applauded and I joined in, but my heart wasn't in it. My eyes kept darting back and forth and I couldn't concentrate on the here and now. I was still thinking back to the boy who had come to my door and left. Was he here? Was he originally on the guest list? Did Hanna know him?
