PART 6

"Oh my god," I gasped.

Everyone cheered as I stayed glued to the spot.

Now I knew why we'd come here.

Michael pushed through the crowds and came to stand before me.

"Happy birthday baby," he said.

"Michael," I sobbed, falling into his arms.

He held me upright as he hugged me tightly to his chest.

His lips pressed to my temple and I lay my head on his shoulder.

"Happy birthday Y/N," a voice said behind Michael.

I pulled back and looked up to see a grinning Ashton.

His sandy hair had grown even more since the last time I'd seen him and was now a curly mop.

He wore his signature skinny black jeans with black converse on his feet.

Wrapped around his waist was a black and red checked flannel, tied at the sleeves.

In his hands he held a present which looked small in his huge hands.

He handed me the gift, and shoved his hands deep in his pockets, rocking on the balls of his feet.

"Aw, thanks Ash. You didn't have to get me anything," I told him, with a smile.

"Yeah I did!" he gasped. "You're like my little sister."

I reached across to kiss his cheek, and he grinned brightly.

Michael tutted behind me.

I unwrapped the gift and felt my heart melt as I pulled out the flannel.

"Ash," I gasped, holding it up and dropping the paper.

Michael reached down and scooped it up, scrunched it into a ball and chucked it in the bin.

I heard a few cheers from somewhere in the room and assumed it would be Luke and Calum.

"I remembered you liked the one I had and you kept stealing it," he chuckled.

"Aw Ash. That's so sweet. Thank you," I thanked him.

I reached for him and hugged him tightly.

"Way to top my present," Michael huffed as he wandered off.

Ashton turned to me his lips pulled to the side as he realised he might have done the wrong thing.

"Don't worry about him," I said, waving it off.

As the rest of the people at the party began to gather around me, I lost Michael in the crowds.

I smiled and thanked each and every person for coming.

Everyone was here, all my aunts and uncles, cousins, grandparents.

All of the boys were here with their families.

All my friends were here.

I really had to go and thank mum for doing all of this.

And probably apologise for my grumpy behaviour.

The last people to greet me were Caitlin and Jenny.

And glued to Caitlin's side was of course Tim.

I cursed under my breath as they came towards me, and looked around hoping to make an escape.

But there was none.
