BASED ON THE LUKE BLURB ABOVE

* Y/N stands for your name *

"So, er... who was that guy today?" Luke asks as we drive home from school.

He keeps his eyes on the road, but I notice his hands gripping the steering wheel a little too tightly.

"Who, Chase?" I ask him.

He just nods, but I can feel the tension in the small space.

"Chase is just some guy in my maths class. He wanted to ask if I'd tutor him because he's not doing too well, so I said I would," I shrugged.

"You're not tutoring him!" Luke seethed through tight lips.

"Excuse me?" I said, feeling my temper rising.

"I said you're not tutoring him," he repeated.

"You can't tell me what to do Luke," I snapped.

His truck turned down my street.

"You forget that I can, because I'm your boyfriend," he growls.

He pulls up outside my house and I laugh once without humour.

"Just because you're my boyfriend doesn't mean you can tell me who I can and cannot talk to," I huffed.

"No, that's where you're wrong again, because I can. And you're not allowed to hang around with other guys," he said, sounding clearly decided.

I scoffed and reached for the door handle, ready to get out of the truck.

The way he was acting like he owned me was really pissing me off.

"I'm tutoring the guy Luke. It's not like I'm sleeping with him," I cried.

His hands slammed down on the steering wheel and his head snapped around to glare at me.

"Don't say that!" he yelled.

He took a deep breath, dropping his hands to his lap.

"You're not tutoring him," he said again, his voice a little calmer than before.

"I'll do whatever I fucking want," I shouted back.

I jumped out of the truck and raced inside, and just as I went to slam the door shut, I saw his truck go speeding off down the street.

It had been more than four hours since Luke and I had had our argument.

We'd never really argued before, so that was so new.

Sure, we'd had our little disagreements here and there but nothing as major as this.

I sighed as I climbed into bed and curled up under the covers.

I was beginning to worry that this would be the end for us and we'd end up breaking up because of this.

I sure as hell wasn't going to tell Chase no to the tutoring just because Luke said so.

If he had a more valid reason for not tutoring Chase, rather than he stupid jealously, then I'd consider agreeing with him.

But the green monster appearing inside of Luke was not reason enough for telling Chase no.

I closed my eyes and tried to shut off my emotions raging inside of my mind.

I would just have to wait to see what happened tomorrow.

--

A banging noise woke me, and I groggily rolled over in my bed towards the source of the sound.
