My Forever (C.H)

I woke up in the hotel, tangled in the crisp white sheets. There was a breeze blowing throughout the hotel room and I wondered if we had left a window open. Rolling over to where Calum lay I noticed he wasn't there. The corner of the duvet, which was wrapped around him during the night, was folded over and his pillow was empty. I rubbed at my tired eyes and let out a loud yawn. Remembering last night brought a smile to myself. We had enjoyed a beautiful meal, followed by a romantic walk along the beach watching the sunset and then fell into bed in each other's arms and got tangled in the sheets as we became connected in the most intimate and beautiful way. I felt my cheeks flush thinking of the way he had touched me, the way his fingers trailed down my naked body touching every inch of my skin. He left goose bumps along my skin and as we rolled around together my nails scratched against his back, marking him. I closed my eyes and sighed, feeling so content. I was so happy with Calum, our love so pure and wholesome. I loved being with him and I loved the way he made me feel. He made me feel special, he made me feel like the only girl in the world and he reminded me each and every day of how amazing and beautiful I was. And I needed that daily reminder! Hearing those words come from him made my heart soar and made me teary eyed. I couldn't imagine a life without him.

I snuggled up deeper in the sheets, pulling the duvet up to my chin and closed my eyes. The breeze drifting through the hotel room got stronger. There was definitely a window open. I pushed myself up leaning on my elbows and blinked a couple of times. I turned my head towards the windows and noticed the door leading out onto the balcony was left open. It was only half open with the white lace curtains still shut and the thick cream curtains closed too. I swung my legs over the bed, my feet hitting the floor, and stepped out of the bed. I wrapped my body in a cocoon in the duvet, my head popping out of one end. I walked with slow steps through the hotel room and made a beeline for the doors leading out onto the balcony. I pulled open the door and the sunlight beamed, shining across my face and warming my skin. The sun blinded my vision and I squinted against the yellow beams. The balcony had white tiling on the floor and a black iron railing. In the corner of the balcony was a little round table with two brown wicker chairs, each with a green and white striped cushion tied down. From where I stood on the balcony I had the perfect view of the beach and I could see the wide ocean, the colours going from clear blue to deep, dark blue the further out it got. Calum was stood at the railing with his back to me, his shirt off and on his legs a pair of grey sweats that hung low at the waist.

One of his hands was holding onto the railing and his back muscles were flexed. His golden tan skin had little droplets of sweat that made his skin glisten and sheen. I licked my lips as I stared at the back of his head, his messy hair curling at the ends. As I stepped further out he sensed my presence and turned looking over his shoulder. A smile crept across his lips and he span his whole body around leaning his perky ass on the railing. In his other hand he was holding a cup of coffee which he held up to his lips and blew on it. His black tattoos were standing out beautifully on his tanned skin and I remembered kissing each one just last night. He crooked his finger and beckoned me over and as I shuffled towards him, he reached across to place his cup on the little round table. I wrapped him in my arms, cocooning us both in the duvet and his chin rested atop my head. His chest was so warm and I lay my check against his burning skin.

"Good morning baby," he said, his voice husky and thick with sleep.

"Mornin', I mumbled.

He chuckled, his chest vibrating against my cheek and his hands rubbed soothingly up and down my back. His hair was matted and it tickled against my forehead.

"Did you sleep well?" he asked, his voice rough.

"Yes," I replied. "Did you?"

"Always," he replied, the smile in his voice. "I always sleep best when you're by my side."

I smiled up at him and he leaned down pressing his plump lips against mine. He tasted like coffee with a hint of toothpaste. His tongue swiped against my bottom lip and he was pressing to part my lips. I wished I'd brushed my teeth before coming to search for him. I pressed my lips tight together and pulled my head back, ducking it under his chin. He kissed my forehead and I snuggled up against his chest.

"Stop doing that," he grumbled.

"Doing what?" I asked, my words muffled against his chest.

"Pulling away when I try to kiss you in the mornings."

I kissed his chest, pressing my lips against the feather tattoo above his pecs. He hummed with pleasure and held me tighter. He span us around so I was facing the ocean and we stood for what felt like hours, wrapped tight in each other's arms cocooned in a duvet and basked in the beauty of the view before us. We stood, wrapped in each other's love and just enjoyed the time we had together before we had to be separated once more.
