YOU
The wedding was in full swing, and we were waiting in line to walk down the aisle. There had been some last minute changes and Georgia had asked to walk down the aisle with Derek. Hanna was being walked down the aisle by our father, Kyle was walking with Phoebe. And that left me either walking alone, which wouldn't look good, or walking with one of Joe's best men.
Typically the best men walk down the aisle with the bridesmaid's, but Joe and Hanna both agreed to forget about that tradition. Instead Kyle was supposed to walk Georgia and I down the aisle. But when Kyle got wind of Georgia's change of plans, he'd decided to switch it up for himself too.
"Hi," a man said as he came to stand beside me.
I looked up into bright green eyes and he smiled, his pearly white teeth shining.
"I'm Ken, Joe's best man," he explained.
"Oh, hi," I greeted him. "I'm Y/N, Hanna's sister."
He smiled knowingly and nodded.
"But you already know that, huh," I laughed awkwardly.
"I do yeah," he grinned.
"5 minutes girls, 5 minutes," Mum gushed as she flapped around us.
She was very flustered as she tottered around making sure everyone was dressed and prepared. This was the first wedding of any of her children so you could sort of understand why it was such a big deal for her.
"You look beautiful," Ken told me.
"Oh, thank you," I muttered.
The wedding party was filling up and only a few rows were still empty as some guests were running a little behind schedule. Mum raced by us with a clipboard in hand and huffed. I laughed as she poked her head inside the church doors and scanned the audience.
"We're missing guests from the middle rows!" she screeched. "That's not going to look good on the wedding pictures when there's a chunk of rows missing."
"Mum, calm down they'll be here," Hanna reassured her as she wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
The doors opened and in strolled our final missing guests. Harry and Louis strutted in first, arms linked, with huge grins on their faces. Harry ran a hand through his messy styled hair and Louis scolded him, pulling his hand down.
"There you are!" Mum shouted. "We're running behind schedule because of you silly boys!"
She tutted and pushed them in the direction of the doors.
"Get in there and take a seat," she demanded.
Behind Harry and Louis were Liam and Niall in their grey suits with salmon pink ties. And behind them Luke, Michael and Calum in grey suits with powder blue ties. Ashton came slowly crawling in behind them, a matching grey suit and a powder blue tie. The tie was a very familiar colour.
I couldn't take my eyes off of him and he walked by, but he kept his eyes downcast and his hands deep in his pockets. His hair was styled, little curls over his forehead and tucked neatly behind his ears. He looked so dapper and handsome.
"Y/N?" Ken said beside me.
I looked back at him and his arm was crooked as he waited for me. I linked my arm through his and the wedding song began to play.
"You ready?" Dad asked Hanna as he stepped up beside her.
"Ready as I'll ever be," she whispered. "I'm getting married!"
