ASHTON

I pulled out a stool at the bar and sat. The bar man came over and slid a beer towards me.

"I didn't -" I tried to protest but he cut me off.

He pointed down the bar at a pretty blonde with a warm smile.

"Girl at the end of the bar bought it for you," he said.

She wiggled her fingers in a wave. I nodded, holding up the beer in thanks and took a sip. The DJ was now playing the dance tunes, the beats shaking the floor and everyone was gathered on the dancefloor.

"Hi there," the blonde purred as she sat beside me.

"Thank you for the beer," I replied.

"It was my pleasure," she smiled. "So how do you know the bride?"

"I'm friends with her sister," I told her.

"Ah, friends of Georgia? Or Y/N?"

"Y/N."

"And where is she? I saw her come in with Ken."

"I don't know."

"So, how about a dance?" she asked.

She gently caressed her fingers against my hand and trailed them up my arm.

"Not interested," I spat, pulling my arm back.

"Oh come on. You're not here with someone right?"

"No."

"Then dance," she demanded.

She pried the glass from my hands and tried to intertwine our fingers together. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a movement, a flash of blue and I turned my head. She was stood at the door watching with doe eyes. I pushed the blondes hands back and marched over to where Y/N stood.

"We need to talk," I demanded.

"You seemed busy," she replied dryly.

"I'm never too busy for you love," I promised.

I took her hands and lead her back outside. She complied without protest and didn't try to talk me out of leaving the room. She was quiet as we walked.

"I think it's time I finally explain."
