YOUR POV

After apologising over and over again to my dad he finally forgave me.

Now came the tough part.

"You may want to sit for this part dad," I warned.

His eyes squinted and his lips formed a tight line.

"Why?" he snapped.

"Just sit, please," I begged.

He grunted but sat.

"I just want you to hear me out okay. Yell after I don't care, just hear me out," I pleaded.

He stared at me for a couple of minutes before he finally agreed with another grunt.

"Okay, I want to get you to like Calum dad," I began.

He started to speak but I held up a hand to shush him.

"You promised remember," I reminded him.

He humphed as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"I love him dad. So much. He is honestly my whole world. Think about how you feel about mum. Well that's how I feel about Calum," I explained.

He glanced at my mum and she smiled at him lovingly and the look of love in his eyes as he looked at her made my heart melt.

"See, that right there, I feel that for him," I said, acknowledging their love.

"Dad, it hurts me so much that you don't like him. You haven't even given him a chance. He's a great guy, isn't he mum?" I said, turning to her and asking for help.

She nodded with a smile.

"He is a lovely boy. He really loves our daughter," she said to my dad.

He sighed.

"I want you to get to know him and love him as much as I do. You keep saying it won't last but it will. And I'd hate to go off into the future, moving in with Calum and having my dad hate me. And then going on to get married and not having my own father there. And not having him walk me down the aisle. It would kill me if my daddy wasn't there," I said, my voice breaking at the end.

I saw the tears glisten in my dads eyes and his eyes went glossy with the unshed tears.

He coughed, clearing his throat and grumbled as he blinked away the tears.

"I love you daddy and I want you there. I want you there every step of the way with me. Will you do this one thing for me?" I begged.

He sniffled as he pushed himself up from the seat and came to me.

He enveloped me in his big arms my head laying on his chest.

"I love you too baby girl. And you know I'll never hate you. I will be with you every step of the way in your future," he promised, his voice cracking.

He kissed the top of my head, sniffing again and held me tight.

"Bring him round for dinner tomorrow," he said as he pulled back. "I want to meet the boy who stole my girls heart."

"Thank you," I thanked him.

"I'd do anything for you sweetheart," he promised.

CALUMS POV

After hearing Y/N telling me on the phone that her dad had agreed to get to know me, I'd been so relieved.

He'd even invited me to dinner the next day and to say I was scared was an understatement.

I was terrified.
