Part 46 - Thrupple 🤔

(The next day - on the train to Venice)

Jimin's POV:

We were half way through our train ride to Venice when I got a text from Hobi.

Hobi: Hey. So I need to tell you about Suga, unless you've figured it out already.

I showed Yoongi the message.

Yoongi: What are you going to say?

Jimin: I'll do like that we did with Jin.

So I texted him back.

Jimin: Figured what out? BTW, he got run over by a car over a week ago. 😢. So if there was something you wanted to tell me about him, know that I'm still trying to get over his death.

After a minute, Hobi FaceTimed me. I turned the volume down trying not to disturb the other passengers, but I wanted Yoongi to hear. Tae was sleeping, so I also tried not to wake him up.

Yoongi winked at me as I accepted the call. I was going to start off telling him more about it, but he cut me off.

Hobi: He can't be dead.

Jimin: I know you two were close. But he was my constant companion for 3 months. It was really awful.

I felt like Hobi was staring into my soul via the phone.

Hobi: I don't believe you.

Jimin: What do you mean? Why would I lie about that?

Hobi: (Knitting his eyebrows) I think you're trying to pull one over on me.

I tried to act shocked and hurt.

Hobi: I think Yoongi is sitting right beside you listening in.

Jimin: Yoongi? What does he have to do with anything?

Hobi: I call bullshit.

Yoongi: The gig is up.

Yoongi moved close to me so we were both looking at the phone screen.

Hobi: Ha, I knew it. I can tell when you're faking.

Jimin: Nice way to put it, Hyung.

Meanwhile Yoongi was looking between the two of us.

Hobi: Don't overthink it, Yoongs. So how did you figure it out?

Yoongi: How did he figure it out?! How did you figure it out?!

Jimin: And when?!

Hobi: I had my suspicions when we were biking to Spain. But I figured it out for sure when we were in Pamplona.

Yoongi: How?

Hobi: Yoongi, you were always kind of cat-like. At least from what I observed in our classes. And Suga was very human-like. Somehow, I just knew.

Jimin: That's annoying as hell.

Hobi: Well you'd never met Yoongi before, and I had at least 3 classes with him.

Yoongi: But you barely spoke to me.

Hobi: That doesn't mean I wasn't watching (winking at Yoongi).

Jimin: Why didn't you tell me as soon as you suspected?!

Hobi: I was guessing that you needed to somehow figure it out in order for him to transform back. And I was right.

Yoongi: Not exactly.

Hobi: No?

Jimin: I never fully figured it out. I just told him that I loved him whether he was Suga or Yoongi.

Hobi: Hmmm. Well it worked out.

We chatted for a few more minutes. Tae woke up and gestured that he wanted to speak with Hobi. So I gave him the phone.

Hobi: Hiya handsome!

Taehyung: Hi Hyung.

Hobi: What's up?

Taehyung: I will be coming to Paris in about a week and a half.

Hobi: Oh, you wanna stay over?

Taehyung: If it's okay with you.

Hobi: Of course, I always love teasing you.

Tae rolled his eyes.

Taehyung: I'll text you when I'm a day out.

Hobi: Okie.

Jimin: Hand the phone back, Tae.

Hobi: You're not done with me?

Jimin: I just wanted to know how Michel is and how you two are doing?

Hobi: He's fine. I think he's mad at me.

Jimin: What did you do?

Hobi: Nothing! Okay, I flirted with a new dancer. Michel was not happy about it.

Jimin: Did you have the talk with him?

Yoongi: What's "the talk"?

Jimin: Where Hyung tells whomever that he is a natural flirt ...

Hobi: Which is true.

Jimin: and that he is a free spirit ...

Hobi: Also true.

Jimin: And that sometimes he can't control himself.

Hobi: You know me so well, Jiminie. Shame we never got back together.

Yoongi: Hey!

Hobi: We could be a thrupple. I don't get jealous.

Jimin: And on that note, bye Hyung.

Hobi: Bye Chim. Bye Yoongs! Good seeing you as a human. Tell Taebear I look forward to seeing him (wiggling his eyebrows).

Taehyung: Oh lord, that Hyung hasn't changed at all.

We all laughed.
