Part 76 - Third Wheel

(2 Weeks later)

Hoseok's POV:

I was at Big Hit Studio, visiting a dancer I met back when we worked on TXT's mv. He was a trainee and didn't have much time for me. It was too bad, because he was very cute. Kind of reminded me of Jiminie. Essentially he had just given me the "It's not you, it's me" speech, and I was finding my way to the door when I ran into Yoongi.

Yoongi: Hey, Hobi. What are you doing here?

Hobi: Apparently getting the brush off.

Yoongi: Oh. Sorry. Wanna get lunch?

Hobi: Sure, where to?

Yoongi: I usually just eat at the cafeteria here. It's decent and free.

Hobi: Alright, let's go.

I followed Yoongi to the cafeteria, hoping I didn't run into said dancer. Today's lunch special was kimchi jjigae and mandu. It was actually good.

Yoongi: So other than the brush off, how are things?

Hobi: Good. Classes start next week. I'm looking forward to getting back into it.

Yoongi: You still have a class with Jimin, right?

Hobi: Yes, I'm so excited! We're doing a street dance class.

Yoongi: Cool. He seems pretty excited about that one too.

Hobi: How about you? What are you up to?

Yoongi: Keeping busy here. And working on my mixtape.

Hobi: I heard you were gonna release an album. That's amazing!

Yoongi: Did Jimin tell you?

Hobi: No, Tae told me.

Yoongi: You two still ...?

Hobi: Mhm...At least I hope so. I've been gone for a few weeks.

Yoongi shrugged.

Hobi: Why?

Yoongi: I think Jimin and Joon were trying to set him up with Jungkook. At Christmas it kind of seemed to be working.

Hobi: Oh yea, Tae told me they had been spending time together. But he also said he has no intention of dating anyone right now.

Yoongi: That's too bad. They seem like a good fit.

Hobi: Hey, what about me? Aren't I a good fit too?!

Yoongi nearly choked on his soup and looked up at me sheepishly.

Yoongi: Sorry, Hobi. I don't mean any offense, but you don't seem like the relationship type.

Hobi: I guess not. But I want to be. I just have too much of a wandering eye.

Yoongi: Well, I'm glad you have someone to have fun with at least.

Hobi: Thanks, Yoongs. So how are things with Jimin?

Yoongi: Amazing. I never dreamt I would get so lucky.

Hobi: You're gonna ask him to marry you, aren't you?

Yoongi: How is it that you always know this stuff?

Hobi: I'm good at reading people ... and cats.

Yoongi: (Smiling) Well don't say anything.

Hobi: No worries, I won't.

Yoongi: I'm not asking any time soon anyway.

Hobi: No? Just thinking about it?

Yoongi: I will do it. I just have to wait until after my brother is married.
