Part 56 - Coffee

(3 days later)

Yoongi's POV:

Dear Banana, we got home from Europe 2 days ago. I slept almost the whole day yesterday. Today I'm feeling mostly back to normal and adjusted to the time change. I haven't seen Jimin since Jin dropped him off at his house after picking us up at the airport. It's the longest we've been apart since we met and I feel as though a part of me is missing.

Eomma is having a dinner party tonight and invited Jimin and his family over. I'm kind of nervous about them meeting Jimin. Plus I barely got introduced to his parents when we dropped him off, so I'm sure they'll interrogate me. Or maybe not. I know Halmeoni will question their family, so it's only fair. Namjoon will be there too along with his family. The only one missing is Taehyung, who is in London now.

School starts in 10 days. Jimin and I move into our apartment in 5 days. I can't wait to share a bed with him again. And no, it's not just about the sex. I sleep easier knowing he's by my side.

I meet with my graduate advisor next week. We'll discuss my long-term project goals. I applied for both graduate assistant and teaching assistant [TA] positions. Hopefully I get one or the other, otherwise I'll have to look for a job. When I spoke with Jimin last night, he told me that he's already been given a TA position and will teach a modern dance class for undergrads.

My phone vibrated.

Jimin: Are you awake?

Yoongi: Mhm. Are you?

Jimin: Duh. Want to go get coffee with me and JK?

Yoongi: Sure. When?

Jimin: Come pick me up in 20min?

Yoongi: Will do, Babe.

Jimin: 😘

I thought to myself, "This should be interesting." It's definitely a good thing to start off showing that we're together. We don't want to give Jungkook any thoughts about us being temporary. When we were in Rome, Jimin mentioned that he told him about us moving in together. He wasn't sure that Jungkook took it that well.

I want to like the kid, I really do. I'll just have to see what kind of vibe he's giving off when we meet. Hmm, I hope Jimin told him I was coming.

I ran out towards the door, but Eomma yelled at me.

Yoongi's Eomma: Where you headed?

Yoongi: I'm going to meet Jimin and another friend for coffee.

Yoongi's Eomm: Pick up some groceries for me.

Yoongi: We might be a couple hours.

Yoongi's Eomm: Be home before noon with the groceries. I'll text you the list.

Yoongi: (Bowing) I will, Eomma.

I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my car keys. 10 minutes later, I was knocking on Jimin's door.

Jimin: Hi!

He grabbed my shirt and pulled me inside, kissing me immediately. I pulled away and looked. around.

Yoongi: Isn't your family here?

Jimin: Nope. Abeoji is at work and Eomma is at the hairdresser.

Yoongi: (Smirking) Oh. And when are we meeting Jungkook?

Jimin: We have nearly an hour.

Yoongi: I see. It's almost as if you planned this.

Dragging me towards his bedroom.

Jimin: I need you, right now.

40 minutes later, we were both taking a quick shower.
