Part 58 - Bouillabaisse

(The following Wednesday)

Yoongi's POV:

I woke up before Jimin's alarm went off. He was curled against my chest, still fast asleep. The past few days, waking up with Jimin in my arms has been amazing. I had missed it so much for the few days we were living apart. I don't ever want to live apart from him again.

His alarm went off and he groaned.

Jimin: Too early.

Yoongi: It's your alarm. Why do you have to get up so early?

Jimin: My advisor wants to go over the class syllabus with me before I start teaching it on Friday.

Yoongi: Will she be involved in teaching the class at all?

Jimin: No. She'll just evaluate their group and solo performances.

Yoongi: They have solos and group? That seems like a lot of work for a beginning class.

Jimin: Those performances and my assessment about their participation are the only things they get graded on. Aren't music majors the same way?

Yoongi: We had several smaller projects and one big one that we had to do each semester.

Jimin: Aren't you meeting with your advisor today?  Do you think he'll have a job for you?

Yoongi: I hope so, but since it's so close to classes starting, I just don't know.

I got up and made Jimin coffee and breakfast while he got ready. We had a few minutes sitting together while we ate.

Jimin: I guess our summer of sleeping in is officially coming to an end.

Yoongi: Unfortunately. We'll still have the weekends to lounge around in bed.

He got up and started washing dishes.

Yoongi: I can get that, Babe.

Jimin: But you cooked.

Yoongi: It's fine. I have more time this morning.

He came over and gave me a kiss.

Jimin: See ya this afternoon?

Yoongi: Yes. Don't forget we're having dinner with Jin and Namjoon tonight.

Jimin: Oh right. I should skip lunch to leave room in my stomach.

Yoongi: Don't starve yourself. Have a good day, Babe.

Jimin: You too. Fighting!

My boyfriend's the best.

(3 hours later)

I was nervous for my meeting, but I don't think it showed. I'm good at hiding my feelings when I want to.

Professor: Mr. Min, good to see you again.

I had this professor for several of my classes last year. He was always very supportive of my music.

Yoongi: Thank you, Sir.

Professor: I'm sorry to say that my TA spots have been filled.

I was thinking, "Great! Now I have to pick up a part time job."

Professor: However, I sent some of your productions to a friend at Big Hit Studios. They would like to offer you a paid intern position.

I was shocked. This was much better than being a TA.

Yoongi: (Eyes wide) Thank you, Sir.

Professor: Here's the contact. Do what I know you're capable of and I'm sure it will work out well for you.
